You can rent a car at the bus station next to Chenzhou West, which is very convenient. It costs 276RMB to rent for two consecutive days.

Everyone said that if you want to go to Yangtian Lake Prairie Mountain Road, it is recommended to rent a car. At first, I was quite panicked and didn’t dare to rent a car by myself. Then I thought that the charter time was too restrictive and not free, so I finally chose to rent a car by myself. The mountain roads along the way are eighteen. It's quite pleasant to drive slowly around the bend. At least I, a female driver, can handle it. I attached the map to experience it for myself.

First night: Muxi Hotel – near Chenzhou West, the environment is quite nice, Japanese-style small single room.

The second night: Zixing Wind Blowing Light Luxury B&B – about one kilometer away from Xiaodongjiang Visitor Center, the environment is very good, the owner of the B&B is a young couple Super nice, the only drawback is that the perfume in the corridor is very strong.

Speciality cuisine

I love the pork noodle - so much. I ate it twice. The soup base is amazing, sweet and not fishy.

Qifengdu Fish Noodles – I didn’t eat spicy food because my wisdom tooth inflammation has not healed yet, so I didn’t eat it, but it looked super delicious.

Squid – I chose the steaming method. The fish was super tender. I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo.

Yangtian Lake Prairie — Purchase on site for 80RMB, purchase via WeChat one day in advance for 72RMB

Xiaodongjiang Scenic Area – On-site purchase of the route ① is 80 RMB, and Meituan purchase is 75 RMB one day in advance. You need to go to the visitor center to exchange for a paper ticket, and you need to go back and forth to the scenic spot.

Day 1: Yangtian Lake Prairie

It takes about two hours to drive to Yangtian Lake Prairie after checking out from the hotel. It may be due to the off-season. There are few cars on the road. Occasionally, large cars passing by will cause a small congestion. On the way, you can also encounter a beautiful road with plantings on both sides. The maple tree has turned yellow.

The main purpose of arriving at Yangtian Lake Prairie is to take photos and enjoy the wind. It happens to be a sunny day, the sky is very blue, the wind is strong, and the ultraviolet rays are also very strong, so be sure to wear sunscreen. As long as there is no wind, the temperature feels just right and not very cold, but when the wind blows, I still shiver with cold. It is very comfortable and a good place for children to play and roll around. The windmills, horses, alpacas, stretches of grassland, and rolling hills are very picturesque.

The next day: Xiaodongjiang Scenic Area-Shigaitang Beach Park

I believe that many people, like me, are attracted by the fairy-like and sultry fog-filled Xiaodongjiang River. However, since November, Xiaodongjiang River has entered the off-season and there is no fog. The scenic spot can only enter the park at 8:30, so we I slowly set off at around 9:30, drove to the tourist center parking lot, exchanged my ticket, queued up to take the bus to No. 2 Observation Deck and watched the fishermen casting their nets. There was a breakfast shop at the No. 2 Observation Deck waiting area. After having a simple breakfast here, we took the bus again to the end of Dongjiang Dam. The end was full of small Dongjiang specialty shops where you can eat and buy.

After passing through these shops, we arrived at Longjing Canyon, went in for a tour, and then came out. Then at about 12 noon, we took the bus back to the visitor center. After having lunch at the nearby time-honored tea oil Qifengdu Fish Meal Shop, due to time issues, we did not go to Gaoyiling, but chose to just drop by. Arrive at the white sand beach near Chenzhou West. There is a small artificial white sand beach here, which is simply a paradise for children. After taking a short rest here, we drove to Chenzhou West to wait for the bus.
