The rainy weather in Jiangsu and Zhejiang in June is coming soon.
Little Hippo has always wanted to go out for a walk before Huang Meitian. It happened that there was some work that needed to be completed in Hangzhou recently, so Little Hippo asked her husband and mother-in-law to go to Hangzhou to play and work together.
This trip can be said to be full of schedule and full of rewards. The work was completed very satisfactorily and the family also had a great time.
Let’s share it with you in detail today!

Day 1

Because Hangzhou City has regulations on odd and even numbers in scenic spots, we plan to take the train to Hangzhou this time and then charter a car when we arrive in Hangzhou. This avoids the trouble of limited number of private cars.
The high-speed train from Shanghai to Hangzhou is actually very comfortable and very fast, taking just over an hour.
The hotel manager came to pick us up, and the journey went smoothly (the only thing that didn't go smoothly was that my husband left his cell phone in the car when he got off the bus on the way from home to Hongqiao Station, but he took it back later without delaying the train) .
What I chose this time was Shangri-La in the city of Hangzhou.
There are two Shangri-Las in Hangzhou. The older one is on the edge of the West Lake. The location is very good, but this old hotel is really too old. It's so old that you're too embarrassed to live in it, worried that it won't hold up.
It is relatively new in the city and was opened in 2016. The location is not far from the West Lake. It takes about ten minutes to walk there and is next to the Kerry Center.
The reason why I chose this hotel is because my mother-in-law said this was her first time in Hangzhou.
My mother-in-law was a strong woman who traveled all over the country when she was young. After retirement, she has been traveling all the time. She has been to Xinjiang, but she has never been to Hangzhou.
I almost burst into laughter after hearing this. Hangzhou is so beautiful, how could you not have been there?
Therefore, this time I chose the hotel based on my mother-in-law's "features" and chose Shangri-La in the city.
Here I would like to share with you a little hippo’s tips for choosing a hotel. If you are traveling with an elderly person, especially if it is the first time for the elderly person to go to a place, I will usually choose the most convenient and central hotel in the area.
Because it’s your first time coming to a place and you definitely want to see everywhere, so transportation is very important.
If I go to a place that I have been to many times with my husband or my family, then I will choose a newly opened hotel, some that may be a little remote, but have luxurious and comfortable facilities.
I hope the above tips will be useful to you when choosing a hotel.
This time we booked a small suite with a garden. My mother-in-law had a deluxe double room next to her. The two rooms were very close to each other.
There is a living room where you can rest and two small gardens. We think it is quite comfortable to live there.

The biggest problem with this room is that it is dark and the lighting is really poor.
Coupled with the rain in Hangzhou, it was dark all day long, which was really uncomfortable.

If you like rooms with good lighting, go to Shangri-La in the city and be sure to avoid this type of room on the lower floors.

It was around afternoon when we arrived at the hotel. We took a rest and walked to West Lake.
West Lake is still so beautiful:

We found a small boat on the edge of the West Lake. It costs 150 yuan an hour and can take you for a row around the West Lake.

This is a must-do for me every time I come to West Lake, because I really like taking boats.

My mother-in-law also liked it very much. Of course we girls had to take crazy selfies on the boat.

Moreover, looking at the West Lake from a boat has a unique flavor.

But here, Little Hippo wants to say that this hand-cranked boat is said to take an hour, but in fact it takes about half an hour to forty minutes, so everyone should be mentally prepared.

After getting off the boat, we walked to a teahouse on the edge of the West Lake for tea.

It was already after five o'clock, when the sunset was infinitely beautiful.
The scenery of the tea house is very beautiful, facing the West Lake, but everyone knows that this location is very precious, so the tea is naturally more expensive.
We ordered a cup of first-class West Lake Longjing for 360 yuan.

The tea house has regulations, which means you can give away snacks, and you can also exchange a cheap tea for free. For example, you can exchange it for a cup of Biluochun or something.

Overall, I think it's still expensive, but that's understandable given this location.

After drinking tea, it was getting late, so we walked back to the hotel.

After taking a rest, we found an izakaya in the nearby Kerry Center to eat Japanese food.
My mother-in-law didn’t expect to have Japanese food for dinner on her first day in Hangzhou, but she enjoyed it very much and said it was well cooked.
I also like it very much.
We all had a great chat, and after eating we went shopping. I forgot to bring my earrings when I went out, so I bought a pair of earrings and wore them for the next two days.
Then go back to the hotel and rest.

Day 2

When we woke up the next day, we had breakfast at the hotel.
Then we went to have tea at a teahouse in Longjing Village that I had been recommended by a fan before.

In fact, this place is a B&B. The proprietress has a tea garden of her own, so she also entertains guests to drink tea and buy tea.

I really enjoyed coming to this place.

The mountains and rivers are beautiful and the air is good. Seeing acres and acres of Longjing tea gardens with my own eyes and smelling the fragrance of tea in the air really made me feel good.

I drank this year's Shifeng Longjing at the proprietress's place. The tea costing 2,500 yuan a pound was much better than the 360 yuan a cup we had at the teahouse next to the West Lake yesterday.

I had a great time drinking tea and taking photos.

After drinking tea, the landlady introduced us to the farmhouse next door for dinner.
I ate the authentic local chicken soup again:

I felt that this half-day trip was "perfect".

Next, I actually planned to take my mother-in-law to visit the Imperial Street of the Southern Song Dynasty, but the weather suddenly turned dark in Hangzhou that day, and a large dark cloud came over.

We were all afraid of being hit by the heavy rain outside, so we chose to go back to the hotel to rest.

I couldn’t sit still, so I took my husband to the Kerry Center next door and bought some gadgets, such as this bow hair tie:

I also bought a hat:

For dinner, we ate at the hotel’s Chinese restaurant “Chengzhong”:

I think this restaurant is quite good. My girlfriends and I also visited here last time when we visited Hangzhou in a group.

Day 3

I arranged work early on this day.

Does anyone know? I'm currently filming a video called "One Day", and I've already filmed two episodes. The guest in the first issue is a chain restaurant owner who loves food @火肖云婆婆, and the guest in the second issue is a cartoonist @林竹 who understands life very well.

In the third issue, we made an appointment with Hangzhou’s self-media blogger @秋的之 Same . Regarding her story and the “day” we spent together, everyone is welcome to come to my Weibo on May 24th. Watch this episode~

Since I was working all day, my husband took my mother-in-law out for a walk.

The straight man is really terrible. He wanted to take his mother-in-law to see the movie "The Big Brother", but her mother-in-law sternly refused.

Which old lady would choose to watch a gangster movie when traveling to Hangzhou instead of twirling gauze at tourist attractions? (Whispering the gauze scarf is just a way of expressing it, it does not mean that the mother-in-law really knows how to do it)

Later, I helped them arrange it. I asked my husband to take my mother-in-law to visit the scenic spots, and I also gave the straight man a task to take some photos of the scenic spots for me.

The photo he sent turned out to be like this:

The pictures are all unfamiliar and innocent tourists.
This may be the most ugly photo I have ever taken of Lingyin Temple.

The mother-in-law may have seen these photos, so she did not ask her son to take photos of her.

I receive these photos while I'm working outside and it adds fun to my work. Of course I wanted to share it with my colleagues and have a laugh.

In the evening, when I returned to the hotel after work, I felt a little hungry, so I dragged my husband to the Wulin Night Market opposite.

The following photos were taken by a straight woman. Are they much better than straight men?

Then, in order to retaliate against me for saying that his photos were ugly during the day, the straight man offered to take some pictures of me:
Later, these photos were posted on Weibo, and were also called "very beautiful photos of pregnant women" by netizens.
This night market is actually quite big. I originally thought I had finished shopping, but when I walked outside, I came to a very lively place.

There are also many snack bars in the nearby small streets, and there are crayfish restaurants one after another.
We shopped around and ate that day. I was very satisfied and went back to the hotel to sleep.

Day 4

The fourth day was still busy with work during the day. In the evening, we made an early reservation at the popular internet celebrity store Tea Man Village.

When I came to Hangzhou this time, several locals mentioned this store, and I became curious.
Then I think the food in this restaurant is average and not as delicious as the legend says.
The best thing is the tea-flavored chicken in the last picture, the others are very ordinary:
When making a reservation, there are only two options: five o'clock and seven o'clock. We chose five o'clock.
Maybe it’s because I wasn’t very hungry at five o’clock, so the food didn’t taste that good.
So as an Internet celebrity check-in point, I feel that if I come here once, it will be enough to pull the plug.
When I get home in the evening, I still have some manuscripts to write:
I can’t help myself when writing seriously.
It seems that the little hippo often travels, but in fact many of the little hippo's trips are combined with work, that is, playing for a few days, working for a few days, and then taking a rest.

I have become accustomed to this kind of life and feel that this is a part of life.
Don’t forget to take a selfie of the little hippo while writing the article
If I don’t write or work for a few days, I will feel uncomfortable all over.

Day 5

On the fifth day, which was also the last day in Hangzhou, I finally finished all the work.
I made an appointment early at noon at Guiyu Shanfang.
Guiyu Shanfang is also a store that all Hangzhou locals will tell me. I made an appointment on the first day I came to Hangzhou. I felt that this store was much more difficult to book than Tea Renfang.
When ordering a meal, you need to pay a deposit of 500 yuan per person, which will be returned to you after the consumption is completed. And I couldn't get a dinner reservation, so I just ordered lunch.

The weather was bad that day and it kept raining, but the meal was quite satisfactory.

Drunken crab, beef soup, three shredded soup, and anchovies are all delicious, but the others are just average.
Among them, the beef soup is the first one recommended by everyone in the reviews, and it is indeed worth a try.

But this green pepper abalone is not as delicious as the Shanghai Qingxi Hui.

After eating, because it was still raining, I originally wanted to go to the art museum, but I canceled it after thinking about it.
I went back to the hotel to buy everyone the "Daxing Cake Balls" I saw a few days ago.
After I posted the picture on Weibo, a little sister told me that this cake tastes better when bought locally than online.

So I went and bought a lot of them for everyone, and even sent them to everyone on Weibo.

There was an incident when I was buying it. There was a "four-color square cake" in the store. This kind of cake takes six hours to eat, and it can only be eaten in the refrigerator for two days at most. But I bought five boxes and the clerk didn't tell me. He just put a small note on the box. I didn't find it until I got to the hotel and took it to refund it.

When you want to buy something, you should be careful if it is a gift, and the store clerk should really tell us about it.

Later that afternoon we went for a Thai massage.

What surprised me is that although the store is full of Chinese masters, the Thai massage quality is not bad at all and is very good. The price is also very affordable.
After this session of stretching, I felt like I was taller and my hands were longer.

After finishing eating, the three of us felt that we couldn’t eat greasy food, so we went to eat a bowl of Vietnamese beef noodles.

The taste is quite average.

After eating, I suggested buying some braised meat so that if you get hungry at night, you can eat it at the hotel.

This decision is really wise.
That night I ate braised meat and watched TV in the hotel, feeling like a fairy.

Day 6

Planning to go back to Shanghai! Get up at noon, eat something, pack your luggage and go home.
This ended our successful trip to Hangzhou. Although there were some scenic spots and gourmet restaurants in the original plan that I didn’t have time to check in due to rain and time. But good things can be saved for next time. Hangzhou is such a beautiful place and I will definitely come again.
I hope that sharing Little Hippo’s travel notes can give you some reference.

At the same time, Little Hippo is also very grateful to the little sisters who have been interacting with me online. There are many delicious and fun places recommended to me by everyone.
Finally, I will give away the Shifeng Longjing I bought at the Longjing Tea Garden for 2,500 yuan per catty (this jar is 250 yuan), and draw 1 person in this comment to give it away!
