Jiaju Zangzhai is located in Danba County, Garze Prefecture, Sichuan. It is a little-known paradise hidden deep in the Hengduan Mountains. It has magnificent and charming scenery, primitive and mysterious beauties, quiet and poetic rural houses, and unique ancient stones. Diaolou, showing its magic and beauty.

"Jiaju" means hundreds of households in Tibetan. Zangzhai covers an area of about 5 square kilometers and is home to more than 140 households. It is also called Jiarong Tibetan. Jiaju Tibetan Village is the most distinctive among Jiarong Tibetan Villages. Hundreds of residential houses are built on the mountain, scattered and integrated into the natural environment. In the mist-filled valley, accompanied by the occasional gurgling stream, a dynamic and wonderful picture of a cottage is displayed before your eyes.

Under the blue sky and white clouds, on the sunny slopes of the green mountains, white and dark red Tibetan small buildings are dotted, layered, and scattered among the green trees. Occasionally, there are a few small terraces next to the Tibetan buildings, and a strip of clear water. A quiet stream flows at the foot of the mountain.

The styles of the houses here are basically the same, some are densely distributed together, and some are scattered on the top of the mountain. The houses are connected together by paths. They can be viewed from the southeast, northwest, or overlooking from a high place or looking up from a low place. The visual effect is great. Each is different.

Although the construction of the Tibetan building seems to be disorderly, it overall forms a picture of natural harmony, beauty, and poetry. Tibetan buildings are all made of stone and wood, mostly in the watchtower style with 3 to 5 floors. The exterior walls are mostly white and beige, the eaves and wooden walls are red, and the window frames are painted with beautiful Tibetan patterns.

In the early morning when the sun is just shining on the hillside, the colors of brown, red, pink, white, purple, gray, green and so on contrast with each other. It is so beautiful that it makes people suddenly feel at a loss for words.

The houses in Jiaju Zangzhai are mainly composed of two colors: red and white. The colors are bright and strong. The houses are built according to the mountain topography. There is a small white tower at each of the four corners of the house, representing mountains, trees, water, and earth respectively.

Prayer flags will be placed on the small white pagoda. Because of these unique folk customs, Jiaju Tibetan Village becomes even more beautiful and unique.

The existing form of Jiaju Tibetan House has basically completely preserved the characteristics of Jiarong folk houses, such as using original materials and adopting original technology to maintain the traditional and simple style.
