Speaking of Yunnan, many people will think of "Dian" and "Dian Lake". Some people say that traveling is just about stopping and looking at the scenery, but there are also people like me who travel for feelings and memories. In order to recall the story of the old man and the seagull in primary school textbooks, my first stop was Dianchi Lake in Kunming.
Dianchi Lake is located at the foot of the West Mountain in the south of Kunming City. The northern end is close to Kunming Daguan Park, and the southern end is in Jinning County, 5 kilometers away from the urban area. Historically, it has been a resort for vacation, sightseeing and summer escape. I stood next to Dianchi Lake, feeling the coolness of Kunming's summer. At a glance, the emerald-green water seemed to soothe my restless heart and bring me a sense of calm.
Although it is called a pool, it stretches as far as the eye can see. Shaped like a crescent moon, it is 39 kilometers long from north to south and 13.5 kilometers wide from east to west, with an average width of about 8 kilometers. The lake shoreline is about 200 kilometers long; the lake area is 300 square kilometers, ranking first in Yunnan Province. The maximum depth of the lake is 8 meters, the average depth is 5 meters, and the water storage capacity is 1.57 billion cubic meters. It is known as the "Five Hundred Mile Dianchi Lake" and is the sixth largest lake in China. One of the large inland freshwater lakes.
But what caught my attention was that there were a lot of algae in the water of Dianchi Lake. The water on the shore was turbid, and it could be seen that the pollution was serious. Will such a beautiful place soon become untouchable due to pollution?
Leaving Dianchi Lake, I came to Yunnan Ethnic Village. Yunnan is a multi-ethnic province. According to the local guide, there are 52 ethnic groups in Yunnan, so it is really fun to come here to experience a variety of ethnic customs. The various ethnic specialties, songs, dances, etc. are really beautiful.
If you like ancient style, you might as well take a walk here, it is full of classical charm.
