I went back to Jining on May Day and took a few more days off to miss the peak of May Day. I went to Qingdao on the 6th to be with my mother.
Although I lived in Shandong until my second year of high school, I rarely went out to play. I have never been to Qingdao, let alone my mother. This is also my first trip since moving bricks. It’s quite fun to take my mother out to play with the pliers I earned~

SUMMER
There are not many trains from Jining to Qingdao. After many twists and turns, I finally bought a ticket to Qingdao. We set off early on the 6th. We first went to Qufu East Station and then took the high-speed train to Qingdao. We arrived in Qingdao half asleep and half awake. The weather was not bad.
Qingdao Station
When you come to Qingdao, you must eat seafood. After getting off the bus, I ran to the Jiulong Restaurant near the station (recommended by many people). It was almost time and there were still quite a lot of people in the restaurant. It was reassuring to see that some of the tables were occupied by locals. Yes, the set meal I ordered included squid, scallops, and clams. Maybe I am not interested in seafood, so I thought it was average, but the portion was very generous. I am a real Shandongese~

Most of the scenic spots in Qingdao are concentrated in Shinan District, so the several scenic spots you want to visit in the afternoon are not far from each other and can be visited on foot. After dinner, we first went to St. Michael's Cathedral. The church is built on a hillside and can be seen from a distance. There are many couples taking wedding photos near the church.
Saint Michael's Cathedral
After visiting the church, we walked directly to the trestle. The houses on both sides of the road are all in the shape of bungalows. There are red tiles and green trees everywhere. It is very comfortable under the sea breeze~
Lanshan Road
The Zhanqiao is considered a famous sight in Qingdao, and the logo of Tsingtao Beer is the Zhanqiao. And it's free and open here, so there are still many people coming here on weekdays.
trestle
There were many seagulls flying on both sides of the trestle. Occasionally, tourists would throw bread into the trestle and they would immediately surround them.

At the end of the trestle is the "Huilan Pavilion". From time to time, waves will rush up and hit tourists. Opposite the Huilan Pavilion is "Little Qingdao".

After coming out of the trestle, I was going to leave my luggage at the B&B. I walked along the coastline, passing by the Post and Telecommunications Museum and the German Consulate. The buildings on the roadside were all very unique.
Living near Lu Xun Park, we found a B&B in the alley. This B&B is a small villa with a retro decoration style. We chose a room in the attic, and through the window we could see Signal Mountain in the distance. .

After packing up, I was going to Signal Mountain. On the way, I also passed the intersection of Yushan Road and Daxue Road, which are the check-in spots for internet celebrities. Many people lined up to take photos. There were also some newlyweds taking wedding photos nearby. There were many coffee shops along the road, which felt like Gulangyu Island. A bit like.

When I got to Signal Mountain, I learned that today’s reservation numbers had been issued (limited to 2,000 people per day), so I had to make other plans, and finally took the subway to Maidao. I bought a lemon guava when I walked to the subway station. It tasted very good. Get on the bus from the People's Hall Station, and it takes about 40 minutes to reach the Maidao subway station. Then take another two bus stops to reach the Maidao subway station. The public transportation in Qingdao is very convenient, and the buses drive relatively steadily, so you are less likely to get motion sickness.
Wheat Island
After getting off the bus and walking 500 meters, you can see Wheat Island. There is a large statue on the other side of Wheat Island, the statue of Princess Maria. It was in the evening, the wind was very strong on the island, and it was already a bit cool.
Wheat Island
The center of Wheat Island is a small hillside. The grass on the hillside is already green, and there are many people taking wedding photos. The waves here are much more violent and appear very turbulent in the dusk.
After getting off the island, I found that there were boat song fish dumplings nearby. I went to eat the mackerel dumplings, which felt relatively fresh. If you have never eaten fish dumplings, you can try it.
Then I went to the May 4th Square to watch the light show. Except for Monday, there are two light shows every night, one at 8 o'clock and 8:30. There are three shows on holidays, each show takes about fifteen minutes, and it is still worth it. watch.
May 4th Square
There were many people in the square, and a few people were playing and singing with guitars. The atmosphere was great. The red sculpture in the center of the square is "Wind of May".
After watching the light show, we went to Taitung Pedestrian Street. There were many food stalls in the night market, which was just average. I bought a glass of pure beer and grilled cold noodles and took the subway back.
DAY 2
The next morning, we first went to Lu Xun Park near the B&B. The park is fully open. Some people are doing morning exercises, some are fishing, and there is an underwater world nearby.
Lu Xun Park
After visiting the park, I took a car to Signal Mountain. The mountain is not high and it is quite easy to climb. The top of the mountain is a rotating observation deck, which can overlook Qingdao 360°. The ticket price for Signal Mountain + Revolving Observation Deck is only 15, which is a great value.
signal summit
After coming down the mountain, we went to eat at a nearby Korean restaurant called "Healthy Home Food", which is quite popular on the Internet. It opens at eleven o'clock, we arrived at eleven fifteen, and there was only the last empty table left. I ordered the signature fish cake soup, barbecue set, and cheese eggs. The fish cake soup was very fresh, and the barbecue set included perilla. Wrapping the barbecue with perilla tasted very special.

In the afternoon, we went to Badaguan. The roads here are named after military passes, so they are called Badaguan. Badaguan covers more than 200 buildings, involving architectural styles from more than 20 countries. Before liberation, it was the villa of capitalists, and now it is a sanatorium. Currently you can visit the Princess Building, Huashi Building and Butterfly Building, and the tickets are all 20. We went to the Princess Building.
Princess Building
The Princess Building is said to be the residence where Princess Margaret of Denmark visited Qingdao in the 1920s. It looks like the princess castle in Andersen's fairy tales. It has a romantic atmosphere. We also found an orange cat in the garden of the Princess Building.

Along Badaguan to the south is the Second Bathing Beach. The sand on the beach is very fine, and the sand is warmed by the sun. After lying on the beach for a while, I almost fell asleep. The sea water is still quite cold in May, and almost no one goes into the water. There is also a long embankment extending into the sea. Many people are walking there, but waves will hit the embankment from time to time, which is a bit dangerous.
The second bathing beach
After visiting the bathing beach, the trip was over. I randomly found some Shaxian snacks for dinner and then set off for Qingdao North Railway Station. I took the train at 9pm and took the hard sleeper No. 8 to Jining at 5am. It was already dawn when I got off the train. After getting home, I caught up on some sleep, packed up in the afternoon and took a flight to Shenzhen. The holiday is over -
Today also happens to be Mother’s Day. I hope my mother is healthy and safe~
