Tibet

A place lacking oxygen but not lacking faith

The work schedule here is 3 hours slower;

There is no shortage of sunshine here.

Day 5.26

12

It’s another day to wake up early.

Early in the morning, I heard that Brother Fang’s hike up the mountain yesterday was not going well. It was expected to take a day and a half, but he got high just after 2 hours of hiking. He called for help to get down the mountain.

When I got in the car, I saw Brother Fang holding a large cylinder oxygen tank, and he could hear the difficult huffing and puffing while breathing. While expressing sympathy for him, I was glad that I didn't go to the mountains.

The first scenic spot today, the car was parked by Manasarovar Lake, but whether it was too cold or a little tired, we were too lazy to get out of the car and take pictures.

Seeing another car parked nearby, we went over to strike up a conversation.

After the eldest brother of the car owner resigned, he took his 60 or 70-year-old mother to travel around China and earn travel expenses by live streaming, which is admirable. Auntie was in the car and stuck her head out to greet us warmly.

Brother Fang's condition became a little worse, and he did not continue to visit the scenic spots later. The driver rushed him to the hospital in the nearest county.

The examination results were not optimistic. He had pulmonary edema and needed to be transferred to a large hospital for treatment immediately.

We followed the ambulance cautiously and drove for more than 4 hours to the hospital in Shiquanhe.

After sending Brother Fang to the hospital, it was time to find a hotel as part of our daily routine.

Shiquanhe is already in the Ngari area. The conditions here are limited, there are very few hotels, and the good hotels are all fully booked. Swagger has a sleep disorder (psychologically), and when staying in a hotel, he must stay in the room on the top floor. We dragged our luggage and walked on the main road in Ali, looking at rooms one by one.

It has a sense of wandering.

It was almost dark, but we still couldn't find a hotel that met our requirements. We were exhausted and had to make do with one.

But there are always unexpected surprises in travel, and Swagger found his happiness here.
