In the morning light, a stooped grandma is sitting on the side of the street, surrounded by all kinds of dried seafood. The capable uncle nearby is taking the silver fish from the fishing net and putting it into the wooden basin. Two steps ahead is a stall. In the morning market with many shops, the local aunties are busy picking vegetables and negotiating prices. There is a butcher shop owner standing with his arms akimbo behind the chopping board, chatting with the neighbors:

"I heard that the price of meat is going down?"

"It's not that easy."

The Chinese breakfast is almost the same everywhere, with hot water vapor flowing lightly into the sky. In addition to the standard eggs, porridge, and side dishes, special snacks such as gold-wrapped silver and kimbap are also added. The specialty shop has been open for business for a long time, filled with snacks and seafood. Most of the tourists are middle-aged and elderly people, traveling in twos and threes. They are full of energy and not much tired.

After walking out of Huangcuo Middle Road, we arrived at the beach in three to five minutes. The car drove along the Huandao Road toward the city center. The sun was shining brightly at eight or nine o'clock, and there was not a trace of cloud in the sky. It was very much like Miami. The azure sea is filled with sparkling waves, people are walking and taking photos on the off-white beach, and the palm trees on both sides of the road stretch slowly in the breeze.

This is my first time to this city, Xiamen.

The ferry sailed slowly past Crocodile Island and arrived at the bright but quiet Gulangyu Island.

This is a small island that cannot be called an island. The green woods are dotted with unique small bungalows, which combine the elegance of Southeast Asia and Europe. She just quietly watched the tides rise and fall, as if she were a bystander, letting people put various symbols on her. She always wore an old cheongsam, standing in the somewhat yellowed painting, gentle and silent.

There are paths crisscrossing each other, and the uphill and downhill paths are always confusing. Along the brick walls of the Republic of China, looking at the small buildings from a hundred years ago, it feels like you have entered another world.
Until I walked into the snack street and was dizzy among the dazzling shops. The various snacks were full of sweet happiness, and people couldn't help but want to try them. I finally chose cheese potatoes, mochi and roasted grass jelly, and I was very satisfied. .

We sat on the beach enjoying the breeze and chatting. Not far away was the Haoyue Garden commemorating General Zheng Chenggong. A fifteen-meter-high white statue stood on the rocks by the sea, overlooking the entire island and looking silently to the east.

Yes, I came here just to see where it is. It can be regarded as fulfilling the promise in my heart. With my own strength, I have reached a place where I am still far away. Under the same blue sky, bathed in the same sunshine, blowing in the same wind, we can even see each other from a distance.

"You are still young and you will have many opportunities in the future."
"Yes, I'm still young. I still have a long way to go and further places to go. Let me see you first and let the sea breeze say hello to you on my behalf."

It was a coincidence that we came here. It happened to be the Water and Land Dharma Assembly held in Nanputuo Temple. Its full name is very grand: The Dharma Realm Saints Water and Land Purdue Great Fast Meeting. There were so many tourists in the temple, and they could hear the chanting of sutras in the distance. Continuously.

People queuing up hold incense and go forward one by one to offer incense. Those who are more simple will stand outside the temple, hold incense above their heads and pray silently.

I was confused, but I looked at the excitement, looking left and right, and looking back at the pond where the animals were released and the white tower on the shore, I felt particularly peaceful.
The green armor dives into the green water, the white dove flies up to the white tower, and the linden tree you encounter when you enter the door will smile brightly in the sun.

I always feel that Xiamen feels like a more modern Chinatown. Although it is open along the coast, it is also indescribably conservative. It's always like a storybook, with fascinating folklore hidden in every page you turn.

The car drove across the Haicang Bridge and entered the mountains all the way to the depths. The earth buildings in the animation jumped out before our eyes. They were as exquisite and charming as in the paintings. The stones, soil and wooden beams that had experienced hundreds of years of wind and rain were right under our feet. During this time, they were silent, neither crying nor laughing, neither sad nor proud, not even lonely.
They have existed peacefully for hundreds of years, always gently bringing passers-by into the book. After reading through the centuries of history, they watch people's infinitely emotional figures disappear at the end of the mountain road.

These people walked through the country roads, along the gravel road beside the river, and went to listen to his gentle laughter under the old banyan tree while drinking oolong tea.

The tree shadows on the table are mottled, the running water sparkles with joy in the sun, and the fresh fragrance of tea is diffused all around. Hakka tour guides waved various small flags and led tourists to watch and play. At a stall not far away, the owner was making mochi and roasted quail eggs.

How relaxing it is under the sun and trees,
It makes people feel that this world is stable and the years are quiet.

Even the city's botanical gardens promise a different kind of tranquility. Different from the banyan trees growing by the river, the banyan trees here are full of aerial roots. The sunlight approaching dusk, rich colors and gentle brushstrokes, carefully paints the world in the painting. The trees planted by the old man have already spread their branches and leaves to provide shade for future generations.
The Poinciana tree stands by the water, with leaves like the feathers of a flying phoenix and flowers like the crown of a red phoenix. It is so flying and proud that both Xiamen and Tainan use it as a city tree.
After passing Zhongshan Street, which was crowded at night, we chose to visit this pedestrian street at dusk. The shopping mall was not as prosperous as expected, and the snacks and specialty shops were not bright. Just when the dusk light falls on the white buildings of the Republic of China, the retro feeling of turning back to history becomes more and more obvious.
Sitting on the bus, looking at the tour groups at Lujiang Pier, I discovered that the world with red sunset does not distinguish between Chinese and foreign countries. Everyone has gray hair and has free time to carry their luggage and form a group to see the world.

The sea style in the evening is cool outside. Only when the sun sets, you can vaguely feel that winter is here too. Couples taking wedding photos in Gulangyu Island and the Botanical Garden will not miss the sea and dusk. The white gauze flying in the wind cannot cover it. Keep smiling.

The tide has begun to rise at this time, and fishermen are setting nets offshore. I think when the sun comes out tomorrow, these nets will be piled on the roadside at the morning market, but there will be many more silver-white fish.

The bright moon hangs high in the sky, as bright and flawless as a jasper plate. The white statue not far away is still solemn under the gradually darkening sky.
The ferry is still going slowly. Under the night, the lights of the city are like an unreachable shore, bright and bright but with an unreal feeling. The sea breeze blows, the waves sing softly, and the wandering people accidentally fall into an illusion.

It wasn't until I went to the island again that I felt at ease. In a blink of an eye, I jumped into the bustling embrace again, feeling safe and happy.

The tour guide said that the first floor is a house, the two floors are residences, and the third floor and above are buildings, such as earth buildings, such as Zengcuo'an.

Like all night markets, the lights are bright and there are many shops. There are all kinds of snacks everywhere. The narrow alleys are crowded with people. Everyone is holding something in their hands, eating in their mouths, looking at it with their eyes, and thinking about it all the time in their heads. Thinking about whether to eat or not to eat.
Scenes like this always make people want to relax and laugh.

Before leaving, the car passed Huandao Road again and passed the red sign:

One country, two systems, unify China
I heard that on Kinmen Island opposite, there is:
Three People's Principles, Unify China
It's like two kids quarreling.
Under the sun, mist has evaporated from the sea surface, and the mountains and rocks are faint. Looking from a distance, the small white house is the Golden Gate.
Looking back at the beach, there are still aunts in red skirts dancing happily and recording videos; an older uncle is sitting quietly under the tree, facing the sea, with two cute corgis beside him; The troops on the island are training. The soldiers are neatly dressed and running in the sun, their faces getting red.

If I could, I would always pray for you
Under the sun, everything is calm
Mountains and seas remain the same, rivers remain the same

postscript:
Finally I finished writing my travel diary before going to work.
Here, I would like to express my sincere thanks to my mother for taking the trouble to travel with me~
I put together a lot of photos and haven’t used them all, so I’ll put them all here.

Finally, BGM is my favorite song. Source:

To Ruochun and Jingming,
The waves are calm, the sky above and below is bright, and the vast expanse of blue is clear;
Sand gulls gather together and golden scales swim; the shore is covered with orchids, lush and green.
Or when the long smoke disappears, the bright moon shines thousands of miles away, the floating light leaps into the gold, the silent shadow sinks into the jade, and the fishermen answer each other's songs, how wonderful is this joy!
