Yellow Tea Garden Mountain Preface
Recently, my periodic insomnia has worsened, and I have once again hoped to use mountain climbing and hiking to treat it. Choose the mountains in Guangzhou. I have walked almost all of them. Going to the mountains in other provinces and cities is too difficult and time-consuming.
I hesitated.
I haven’t opened No. 32’s column for a long time, and it seems that No. 32 has not pushed a message for a long time. A travel friend in the circle of friends sent the event link of No. 32, and I remembered that there is a company called No. 32 in the outdoor world. So I stopped by and took a look. There is a new singing PK activity. Because singing by myself is scary, I didn’t click on it. Only after seeing the membership day activities did I realize that there are several hiking activities on the last weekend of every month on the 32nd that only require a registration fee of 32 yuan. I saw Qingyuan Nanxia and Huangchayuan Mountain. These two activities are not very intense, which is suitable for me, a cripple with long-term insomnia and poor mental state.
Winning the lottery seems to have never happened to me, so I just clicked to participate with a fun attitude. It was said that a notification would be received before 14:00 the next afternoon. I originally thought that if I didn’t win, I would sign up for the Yellow Tea Garden Mountain event at the original price.
Unexpectedly, I won the prize.
People often say that if you have too strong expectations for something, you will often miss it, and vice versa.
There was a time when I believed in this kind of metaphysics.
I have never been to Qingyuan Nanxia, but I walked through Huangchayuan Mountain with a private group three years ago. Why didn’t I choose Qingyuan Nanxia instead of the Huangchayuan Mountain that I walked through? This starts with a movie I watched recently. This movie is called "Our Fathers" and it is a very long movie with a total length of 4 hours and 30 minutes. I won’t go into details about the plot of the movie here. A movie of this length should be like "Once Upon a Time in America", telling the story of several people's vicissitudes from youth to old age. But what this movie is about is the tremendous changes that five young men and women experienced in four years. Starting from the same place, only 3 people came back. When they met again in the tavern that had been destroyed by the war, things had changed. In my mind, I couldn't help but think of the words of King Luo Bin in "Books with Bo Chang and His Elders": "Mountains and rivers are in front of your eyes, and people are far away from each other."
When I saw the Yellow Tea Garden Mountain event on the 32nd, this sentence came to mind again. I have already visited Huangchayuan Mountain three years ago. I no longer interact with those people, and many things have happened in the past three years, and my thoughts have also changed a lot. The most important thing was to participate in the Tiger Head Mountain event on the 32nd, and I met my current girlfriend.
I want to go to the yellow tea garden again to review and sort out the changes in the past three years, and to treat my recent periodic insomnia.
No. 32 Huangchayuan Hill
After entering the activity group, the team leader Haozhu recognized me, which really surprised me. Because I only met him once, and it was at the Chicken Pillow Mountain event on April 22, 2018. I thought it was unlikely that the outdoor tour leader would remember it since he had to interact with different guests every weekend, especially since it was more than two years ago and I had barely spoken to him at the last event. This probably just shows that he has a very strong memory.
In order to get a good sleep at night, even if it was only for 3 or 4 hours, I did some intense upper body training at noon. I hope to be a little tired, preferably to the point of exhaustion, so that maybe I can fall asleep easily at night. Around 22:30 at night, I unexpectedly felt sleepy. I was relieved that I could probably sleep for at least 4 or 5 hours.
But I only slept for an hour and a half. I woke up at nearly midnight, and I didn’t feel sleepy after that. Although I didn't feel sleepy, my body still felt tired. I also know that after high-intensity training, it will be extremely uncomfortable to go hiking without sleep. I wanted to take a melanin pill, but I was worried about the drowsy effects of the medicine when I woke up.
I tossed and turned in bed until around 1 a.m., and my mind became clearer. Turning on the mobile phone, there are still many travelers in the WeChat group who want to go but have not successfully registered, waiting for flight seats (referring to the behavior of travelers who do not want to go after successfully registering and transferring their seats to others). I got up, took a book from the bookshelf and read it, then put it back for another ten minutes or so. I read the words in the book mechanically, and I didn’t know what I read. I turned on the computer, watched a movie for a while, and then changed to another one after a few minutes. Endocrine disorders caused by lack of sleep made me irritable, and I complained in my mind that none of the newly released movies on the Internet could make people stay for 10 minutes.
It was already 3 o'clock and I was hungry. Take out a piece of beef and beef meatballs from the refrigerator, cut them into slices and put them into the pot, sprinkle some salt and chicken essence, add the noodles after the water boils, then break in an egg, turn off the heat and sprinkle some chopped green onion and sesame oil. I thought I would feel sleepy again after eating this pot of warm beef noodles, but I felt more energetic than before.
I went back to bed annoyed and disappointed. It was already past 4 o'clock.
I thought, if you can't sleep, then you can't sleep. Lying quietly can be regarded as rest. I lay awake like this until 6 o'clock.
I packed my luggage as feebly as a sloth. From 6 o'clock to nearly 7 o'clock, I went out to take the subway. When we arrived at Exit B of Kecun Station, there were already group leaders from several outdoor companies and hundreds of travel friends gathered here. I recognized Haozhu and signed in with him.
After signing in, I met Tang Ke, the leader of the "departure on the 1st" team. I patted his shoulder, said hello to him, and asked him where he was leading the team today. He said he was here to study. I asked in surprise, who am I studying, number 32? he said yes. I silently blessed this young man in my heart and went to the hotel in front to use the toilet.
One team member was late, and Haozhu asked everyone to wait for him. The late team member arrived at 8:12. No one in the car complained about him. This was probably due to Haozhu's ability to control the atmosphere in the group and on the car. As he was more than two years ago, Haozhu is still humorous and speaks quickly, and he explains all the details that need attention very well.
On the 32nd, self-introduction was different from before and became more flexible. In previous hiking activities organized by outdoor companies, self-introductions in the car seemed forced, saying they were meant to liven up the atmosphere and increase interaction. In fact, it is really difficult for people who are shy, conservative and low-key. I have witnessed two embarrassing incidents where members and the leader clashed due to self-introduction. This has not happened before in the event on the 32nd. The leader has called you. You can go up and introduce yourself if you want. If you don’t want to go, just change to the next one. This time, any member who wants to be introduced will receive a headscarf as a gift. I think this method is worth learning from other outdoor organizations.
The squadron for this event is Xiaowanzi, who is about 23 years old. He has a carefree personality, cheerful and lively, and shows two small tiger teeth when he smiles. When she raised the microphone and spoke, I knew she was from the Chaoshan area. She also introduced: "I am from Chaoshan, so my Mandarin is very ordinary." Team leader Haozhu said that in addition to leading the team today, she will also participate in the Huangpu Marathon tomorrow. I really want to tell her that she needs to rest for the last 2 to 3 days before the horse race. Leading a team to climb mountains today and go horse racing tomorrow will cause greater damage to hip and knee joints. At the fork on the way down the mountain, I met her waiting for the team members alone. I wanted to ask her why you came out to lead the team today since you have a horse race tomorrow? I hesitated for a while and didn't say anything. Because it's too late to tell now. Second, since she has the physical ability to run a half marathon, it means that she understands these things, and why should I say more? Maybe it even caused offense.
Xiao Baicai, the tail team member, is tall, reportedly close to 1.8 meters. She is similar in age to Maruko, but because of her personality and her height, she looks calm and dignified.
King of Karaoke No. 32
There were two karaoke kings on the bus today, which impressed me deeply. They are both the female leaders of Company 32 - Xiao Wanzi and Xiao Baicai.
The first person to sing was Xiaowanzi. Before singing, she intentionally vaccinated everyone, saying that her singing was magical. I thought to myself that the devilishness she was talking about might be that she went out of tune when singing the high notes. This is also a very common thing. After all, most people cannot sing high notes without receiving professional singing training. What she is going to sing today is "Fairy Tale" by Guangliang.
At this time I was closing my eyes to rest, hoping to take a nap in the car. When she started singing, I was so startled that I lost all my sleep. The way she sings is akin to a cross between reciting and speaking, like a child trying to imitate the childish joy of an adult speaking with great emotion. I thought she was deliberately being weird and only used her tricks later, but little did I know that she was already at her peak from the beginning. At this time, everyone in the car couldn't help laughing, and some people were even laughing. The singer himself also laughed while singing, interrupted several times, and finally laughed so much that he could no longer sing.
Because my father is from Chaoshan, I also know that the tones of Chaoshan dialect are twice as many as Mandarin, so I can understand why her pronunciation sounds weird when she sings. This is because she has been accustomed to the ups and downs of Chaoshan dialect since she was a child. . Although I also laughed, it was more because I admired her cheerful and childlike character.
Xiaobaicai sang two songs, the first one was "Wild Child" by Miriam Yeung, and I have forgotten what the second song was. Unexpectedly, this tall girl sings with a graceful and delicate voice. The high notes are not like others who just stretch their throats and pull them up. Instead, they skillfully use the resonance part of the head cavity.
After the song, everyone in the car gave her a long and warm round of applause. Even I, who never like to do anything, also gave her a round of applause. Team leader Hao Zhu said that this was the first time he heard Xiao Baicai sing, and that she was the best singer among the female team leaders he had ever heard. Before he finished, Haozhu added, saying that there were many female leaders singing on the 32nd that he had not heard, and there might be better ones, but Xiao Baicai was the best he had heard so far. This fully shows that he is a person with relatively high emotional intelligence.
Start climbing
The starting point this time was one of my descent points three years ago. I saw familiar scenery again, and remembered the people at that time and what happened later. There seems to be no obvious changes here. I wonder if they have changed?
The clouds separate the sun like a flat rag, and everything looks like it has a light gray filter. Fortunately, the clouds were not thick and the air was still pleasantly cool.
After walking uphill continuously for an hour, I felt extremely sleepy due to lack of sleep for many days. My whole body seemed to be exhausted and I wanted to find a place to stop and sleep. My pace was very slow and I had to stop and rest almost every 200 meters or so. I didn’t expect that there were people slower than me, and there were as many as 10 people. I heard a male traveler who was fully equipped and said that he would not go hiking this year because he was too tired; another female traveler who was wearing a loose cotton sweater, corduroy pants, flat sneakers and a cross-body bag said that the team leader was fooling her. Such a difficult mountain to climb is said to be a gourmet food line.
I was surprised. Because Huangchayuan Mountain can be said to be the easiest mountain among the ten climbs in Conghua, the entire journey is only 8 kilometers, the altitude is not high, and the uphill slope is not too steep. After only walking for 2 hours, they were so tired that they complained. I told the panting lady: "The leader didn't lie to you. This route is indeed very easy, even simpler than the Fire Phoenix Route in Guangzhou. Maybe you haven't climbed mountains before? And you are wearing a pair of non-slip shoes that are very effective." Poor flat-soled sneakers will make it more difficult to walk downhill." I originally wanted to tell her that corduroy pants and a cross-body bag were inappropriate. But I also thought that after this experience, she would know exactly what equipment to buy when she goes back, so why should I say more? I said no more.
At 11:40, Haozhu asked everyone to stop in an open space for lunch. I was sleepier and tired now, and had no appetite, so I sat there and transferred the pictures from the camera to my mobile phone.
It’s about 30 minutes from here to the top of the mountain, and it took me an hour to get there this time. I saw the wooden pile of "Yellow Tea Garden Mountain". The wind and rain had washed away the black paint of these four characters. Three years ago we were here playing music on Bluetooth speakers and singing loudly, but now we have gone our separate ways.
How many three years are there in life? Ten three years is thirty years. After all, I have passed twelve three years. How many three years do I have left?
I never know how many three years are left, and maybe it would be better not to know, otherwise I would be spending the rest of my life heading towards a predicted death date, and what kind of panic that would bring. It's better not to know; knowing it may have its benefits, and maybe you will know how to cherish time and stop wasting time.
But most of my three years have been wasted. I plan to write a novel, but every time I start writing, I feel that the task is arduous and I want to put it off a little longer. After this delay, three years passed. In the past three years, I have bought more than 100 books, but I have only read about 20 of them seriously, and I don’t even have 20,000 words of reading notes.
I looked around at the spot where I once stood, trying to replay the scene in my mind, but found that I couldn't remember anything. If I hadn't opened QQ space and looked through the photo album, maybe I would never have thought of these people appearing in my life. This confirms something I once wrote: In life, 99% of people meet by chance and are just passers-by.
Because I know this truth, every time I go out to travel with a group or climb mountains, I almost don’t talk to other team members. Others mistakenly think that I am a proud person.
Go down the mountain
After living in the city for a long time, you will inevitably want to return to the mountains and forests to enjoy a period of tranquility without distractions. There are also mountains and so-called forests in the city. But the artificial traces are too obvious, and it always seems to be scratching the surface.
I walked almost alone during the descent, and I deliberately avoided the groups in front and behind me. This way I can enjoy the silence of the mountains and forests. I put on headphones and listened while walking. The feeling of listening to music in the mountains and forests lasted longer than the excitement brought by playing it on the stereo at home.
It was a calm rather than a manic excitement.
When I walked into Xitou Village, there was no change from three years ago. The small shop selling fried tofu was still there, but I was very hungry and just wanted to order fried pork with chili. The store said that fried pork with chili costs 38 yuan and all-you-can-eat rice for 2 yuan, which is 40 yuan. After the food was served, I was very disappointed. The total price of the meat was probably only 5 yuan. Before I left, I told the shop owner that the meat in this dish was estimated to be only 5 yuan, and the charge was 38 yuan, which was more expensive than in Guangzhou. She just replied to me calmly: The price of Yijia pork has increased.
I really want to tell her that every customer who comes here is a broadcaster of Xitou Village. You think I'm just a customer who comes here for a visit, and I can kill you if I can. However, if most of the customers are dissatisfied, after word spreads, the customers who come here in the future will only watch and stop consuming, which will be a loss to the reputation and economy of the entire Xitou Village villagers. When doing business, you still need to take a long-term view.
As usual, I just hesitated for a while and then said nothing more.
The bus started at 16:25. On the way back, the team leaders Hao Zhu and Xiao Baicai sang songs for everyone again. Hao Zhu sang a song "Backpack" that I had never heard before. I didn't expect that he could sing well even though he looked rough. of.
Returned to Kecun Station around 18:30. I don't like rushing. I chose to get off the car last. Before I could reach the door, I heard Hao Zhu say from below: Why haven't I seen the cutie yet?
I told the three team leaders, thank you for leading the team today. After saying goodbye, with an extremely tired body and a groggy mind, I got on the Line 5 subway home...
After taking a shower, I lay on the bed and looked through the WeChat group, only to find out that a team member had recorded the singing process of Xiao Wanzi. I clicked in to take a look, and her weird singing style and childlike laughter infected me again. I'm afraid I will never forget it in the future. Maybe, this is another lingering sound.
