Farewell trip before departure
WISH ALWAYS HAPPY
After confirming the flight from Zhengzhou to Singapore, we started planning a four-day short trip in Henan to spend the last time with my mother.
Route: Luoyang-Kaifeng-Zhengzhou
Depart / Ningbo
2021.7.30
To be honest, the smooth progress of this trip depends entirely on the Henan government and the countless lovely people who fight against disasters and floods. I heard this heartbreaking news two weeks before departure. The train tickets from Luoyang to Kaifeng were also suspended. The scenic spots Business was also temporarily suspended, but luckily the situation was well under control a few days before departure.
This is a trip that is different from any other. It can be said to be my last few days in China. Therefore, although traveling is a beautiful thing, this trip will always be filled with a touch of sadness and parting.
First stop / Luoyang
2021.7.30-7.31
After arriving in Luoyang and putting away our luggage, we went to the Sui and Tang Dynasty Heritage Park. The most famous one is Tiantang Mingtang. Finally, we caught up with the night view. The night view from the top of the building was really beautiful. The biggest feeling was the majesty.
Then we went to the night market to find delicious food. We ate boiled beef tripe, fried snails, a small bowl of soup and grilled fish. The small bowl of soup is actually equivalent to the soup at home. Different ingredients are put in it. It is still a bit salty for me. On the way to the night market, I saw an old man playing the piano, with his son holding the sheet music next to him. It was not for filming a video or performing a show. Everything seemed to complement the city, as if it should be the way it should be.

The next day I went to Longmen Grottoes, which has been open for about a week. The biggest feeling is that it is too big and it is difficult to move. There are all kinds of stone statues in the grottoes, which are very spectacular.
Second stop / Kaifeng
2021.7.31-8.2
In Kaifeng, I originally planned to stay only for one day, but the COVID-19 outbreak in Zhengzhou broke out on the 31st, so I had to change my itinerary immediately and stay in Kaifeng for the next few days.
I ate the special chrysanthemum fish and soup dumplings. They tasted great, but unfortunately the portion of the chrysanthemum fish was too big and half of it was wasted. I also bought local specialties chrysanthemum tea and longevity cake. After eating, I took a walk along the lake with the evening breeze. When I saw the old people and children sitting by the lake enjoying the cool air, I felt that life full of fireworks was so good. It happened to be right next to the Bao Gong Temple, so I stopped in for a stroll. Because it was late, there were no people in the scenic area, so I felt comfortable.
The next day I got up a little late and went to check out the store but it was closed. So I went to a barbecue restaurant with a high rating. It was surprisingly delicious, especially the cheese sweet potato and purple potato. It was also the first time I saw a new barbecue method. There is no stove, and the ingredients are skewered and grilled directly over the charcoal. After eating, we went to the Riverside Garden during the Qingming Festival. We walked a lot back in order to go to various performance venues. It was also because of the hot weather, so we stopped eating again.
As the epidemic in Zhengzhou expanded, I received a report that a 48-hour nucleic acid test was required before going to the airport. On August 2, I had to wait in a long line at the hospital from morning to afternoon. I felt anxious and desperate because I could not get the report, and I wandered back and forth. and asked, and even thought that I would not be able to get on a plane to go abroad. Later, with the help of the doctor, I learned that the report could be given at night, and I finally had my first meal at eight or nine in the evening. I saw a little gray rabbit on the road. I wanted to take a photo, but it ran too fast and only left an afterimage of it. It was a sight I had never seen in my hometown. hh.
There was a flood before this trip, and then there was COVID-19. It can be said that the whole trip was full of twists and turns, and my mood fluctuated greatly. Fortunately, it ended happily in the end. I have been in Singapore for a week now, and I am slowly adapting to life in a foreign country. I hope everything goes well.
