The first place I have been to in the Southwest is Chengdu. From my impression at the time, I knew it was a place with beautiful mountains and green waters. Therefore, after visiting Guangxi, we decided to find time to visit Guizhou. The May Day period is the best opportunity. After finishing my main work, I applied for leave three days in advance and arranged this trip to Guizhou. What a way! The feeling of self-driving last time was very good. In addition, the public transportation in the southwest is not very developed, so renting a car and self-driving is definitely the most convenient way.

The flight to Guiyang was normal. The car rental point we selected was in the center of Guiyang, so we had to take the airport bus to enter. The hotel must be near the city center. When we checked in, we had to search for the hotel before we found it.

We arrived in the afternoon, so we had plenty of time, so we decided to check out some places in the city first.

Opposite the hotel is the city center square, and this building is very conspicuous.

I came to Guiyang many years ago for work, but I didn’t have time to travel at that time. I just saw Jiaxiu Tower from a distance in the car. I was deeply impressed at the time. It should be a landmark building in Guiyang! I must go see it first this time.

Jiaxiu Tower is located on the Nanming River in the south of Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. It is built on a huge stone in the river. It is a national AAA tourist attraction. We arrived around 3pm.

Jiaxiu Tower was built in the Ming Dynasty. The back building was destroyed and rebuilt, and it was renamed "Laifeng Pavilion". In the Qing Dynasty, Jiaxiu Tower was renovated many times and its original name was restored. The existing building was rebuilt in the first year of Xuantong (1909).

Jiaxiu Tower has three floors, with white stone railings that are retracted layer by layer. It is about 20 meters high from the bridge deck to the top of the building. The Nanming River flows in front of the building and merges into Hanbitan. The two sides of the building are connected by the stone arch "Fuyu Bridge". There was originally a small pavilion on the bridge called "Hanbi Pavilion". Jiaxiu Tower, with its red beams and green tiles, surrounded by beautiful water and mountains, lives up to its name and can be called Jiaxiu Tower.

In 2006, Jiaxiu Tower, as a component of "Wenchang Pavilion and Jiaxiu Tower", was announced by the State Council as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

Jiaxiu Tower is divided into three parts: the first part is Fuyu Bridge; the second part is the main building of Jiaxiu Tower; and the third part is Cuiwei Garden.

This is Jiaxiu Tower, and the connected part should be Fuyu Bridge.

There are really beautiful mountains and clear waters near Jiaxiu Tower, but there doesn't seem to be much water.

There is a stone and wooden archway at the head of Fuyu Bridge. In the center of the archway are the four characters "Chengnan Relics" and "Hanbi Pavilion" is built on the bridge.

Walk around the main body of Jiaxiu Tower and look at it from various angles

It's a pity that Cuiwei Garden is not open today, which is a pity! ! !

The time to leave here is 4.30 pm, and it gets dark late in the southwest, so we can continue. We heard from locals that Qianlingshan Park is very famous, so we took a taxi there because of the time. The local taxi management in Guiyang is excellent! I understand that there is no management. We took a taxi on the roadside, but we didn’t know which one was for rent. Anyway, all the cars stopped were private cars, so we didn’t hesitate to get on one. Although we were a little worried, we asked seriously since we got on. After a while, the driver got straight to the point and told us that Guiyang is full of "black cars" and everyone is very particular about it. They basically charge according to the mileage and price displayed on the Didi software. When we went there we found that it was indeed the case.

On the way, the driver told us that the main feature of Qianling Mountain Park is the monkeys everywhere, which are truly free-range in the park. They are the same as the monkeys in Emei Mountain. He also told us many cases of monkeys attacking tourists, which made me feel sad. a little nervous! !

The scenery inside the park is similar to that of other places.

Take a casual photo, this bridge is a representative attraction of the park.

Not far away, I saw a monkey.

This guy drinks drinks so skillfully that he looks like a monkey living in human society.

Water town characteristics

This place is called Qilin Cave, which has some historical significance. Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng both lived here during the Anti-Japanese War. Please look up the history for the reason.

I think the biggest feature of this park is the monkeys that are all over the mountains and plains. We only see them occasionally in the front areas where there are many tourists. When we walked to the back mountain, we saw about a hundred of them. I felt a little nervous when passing by them. After all, they don't understand the human legal system.

On the way back to the hotel, we also had the experience of taking a taxi. We waved at the roadside, and sure enough, a private car stopped. After chatting on the way, the pricing method was indeed based on Didi's price.
