Because I’m not on Douyin, I didn’t know that Fanjingshan had become an internet celebrity, and I had to grab tickets in advance to catch up with the holiday rush. The total cost of the ticket + tour bus + ropeway is 210. If it were not a must-see attraction on the carpool route, I would really hesitate to come here. I originally said that I shouldn’t take the 140 yuan ropeway and go up on my own legs. I didn’t have the money but still had the strength. But it turned out that it didn’t work and it would delay the rest of the trip.
Because the money was spent, the trip was much easier. We entered the gate of the scenic spot at 7:50 and took a 15-minute tour bus + 10 minutes on the ropeway + 40 minutes of mountain climbing. At 9:00 we arrived at the Mushroom Rock on the top of the mountain. Due to traffic restrictions in the scenic area and limited number of tourists, the whole process was very smooth, with no congestion or chaos. There are three scenic spots on the top of the mountain. If the bright sunshine on a sunny day is a kind of straightforward magnanimity, the dense fog is a kind of hidden mystery, and the looming looming is a kind of temptation that you want to resist but welcome, then Fanjing Mountain only showed me its mystery. It seemed to show its allure for a second. I waited at the top of the mountain for twenty minutes, expecting to see some clearer pictures, but the fog never dissipated in a large area. The fog only varied from thick to thicker, but never from thick to light. The twenty minutes of going up and down the cable car were also like a foggy ride. All in all, except for the Red Cloud Golden Summit, which I could see clearly from a close distance, I still can’t figure out what Fanjing Mountain looks like. I came and went in the fog all the way, waving my sleeves, but I didn’t leave any impression. Speaking of which, this mountainous fog is really difficult for me. My photography skills are not good enough to take pictures of various levels of clouds and fog. It is really difficult.
Of course, I am still very content with this. First of all, some people were unable to get tickets for Fanjing Mountain. Even if they did, they might not be able to see much. Secondly, the weather was extremely bad a few days before the National Day, with heavy winds and heavy rains. One day, the wind was so strong that even Hongyun The Golden Dome is closed. On the day I came, it was neither windy nor sunny, and the temperature was not low. God was kind enough, so I could see the scenery 5% of the time, which felt quite satisfying. I expected that if the wind was too strong or the rain was too heavy, I might not even go to the Red Cloud Golden Summit and just go down on the ropeway. Therefore, lowering expectations can easily increase happiness.
At an inn in Jiangkou Village at the foot of Fanjing Mountain, it was already dark when we arrived the day before, but it was still bright when we left at seven o'clock the next day. When I woke up early, I saw a huge and somewhat fast river right in front of the inn. I was a little lucky that I didn't step into the river when I went out to buy instant noodles last night. I have to lament again that there is so much water in Guizhou. It rains in the sky at any time, and the sound of running water can be heard in my ears at any time.
