I saw a fairy-tale picture online and was instantly attracted to it. After reading some information, I found that it might be Tianjie Mountain located in Huilong Village, Xinxiang, Henan, and decided to go and find out.
Speaking of Henan Province, tourists from other provinces may be familiar with cities such as Zhengzhou, Luoyang, and Kaifeng. As for Xinxiang and Jiuxiang, they are simply unheard of.
Xinxiang actually has a big background, and is also known as Makino! Yes, it was the same Muye who fought against King Wu of the Zhou Dynasty! It was once a place where Jiang Ziya, Shen Gongbao, Huang Feihu, Nezha, Lei Zhenzi and other gods fought. It has been filled with fairy spirit since ancient times! However, things like fairy energy are too ethereal and only grounded energy can provide confidence, so it is still appropriate to call it Xinxiang.
Starting from Zhengzhou, take the Zhengyun Expressway and get off at a city named "Jiao" (Jiaozuo). It takes about two hours to reach Xinxiang Tianjie Mountain.
Tianjie Mountain belongs to the South Taihang Mountains. The broad Taihang Mountains range from Beijing in the north to the Yellow River in the south, running about 700 kilometers from north to south, including Wutai Mountain, Taihang Mountain, Wangwu Mountain and other mountain ranges. It is the watershed between China's second ladder and third ladder. The South Taihang Mountains are the most elite part of the towering Taihang Mountains. At the same time, the South Taihang Mountains are also the dividing line between Henan and Shanxi provinces.
There is a famous 5-day hiking route in South Taihang, starting from Baligou (Henan) and passing through Tianjie Mountain (Henan), Xiyagou (Shanxi), Wangmangling (Shanxi), Wanxian Mountain (Henan), and Guoliang Village (Henan) ), the entire hike is about 100 kilometers, allowing you to deeply experience the scenery of the South Taihang Mountains.
Weekend time was limited, so Shu Miao could only choose one scenic spot, and he only went to Tianjie Mountain.
It is now popular all over the country to build large scenic spots. Circle several scenic spots, and then build a comprehensive tourist service center a few kilometers away to sell tickets uniformly, making it easier to manage and make money.
Tianjie Mountain, Baligou and Jiulian Mountain share a tourist service center, namely Baligou Tourist Service Center. A joint ticket for three scenic spots costs 120 yuan and is valid for 3 days. You can also buy separate tickets, including 62 yuan for Baligou, 64 yuan for Jiulian Mountain, and 48 yuan for Tianjie Mountain.
Because it is a major scenic spot, after buying the ticket, you have to spend 40 yuan to buy a scenic bus, which is responsible for transporting tourists to the entrance of each scenic spot.
Therefore, the ticket price for Tianjie Mountain is actually 88 yuan/person. However, Tianjie Mountain has little publicity. Tourists basically go to Baligou, Wanxian Mountain, and Guoliang Village. The 88 yuan is still worth the price.
Tianjie Mountain Scenic Area can be divided into three levels.
The highlight of the first level is the wall-mounted road. Take the scenic bus and pass the Huilong hanging wall road from the foot of the mountain to the top. There are about 7 hanging wall highways in the entire Taihang Mountains, and the Huilong hanging wall highway is the last one. In 1962, under the leadership of the village secretary, all the people in the village sold their property. With the spirit of Foolish Old Man to Move Mountains, in the absence of modern equipment, you hammered and I hammered, and it took more than 30 years to build it. It is admirable!
The highlight of the second floor is the wall-mounted plank road. After getting off the scenic bus, you really arrived at the gate of the scenic spot. The scenic spots are distributed in all directions on the second floor. You can spend 30 yuan to take a sightseeing car for a circle, which is about 6 kilometers.
The sightseeing bus went too fast, so Shu Miao felt that walking was more appropriate. Walking clockwise, the first scenic spot is Guizhen Terrace, which is the picture at the beginning of the article. You can reach it by going down the iron plank road on the rock wall. If you don’t bring a drone, you can basically only take photos like stubble. I have to admire the current PS masters, they can actually remove all the iron railings!
After Guizhen Terrace, there is the hanging wall plank road, which is about 1 kilometer in length. Shumao thinks this is the best scenic spot to experience in Tianjie Mountain, and it’s hard to walk on it. After the wall-mounted plank, there is an upgraded version of the wall-mounted glass plank, and I almost crawled the whole way.
There are also many wild walnuts and apricots along the way, which can be picked easily.
The attraction on the third floor is Laoyeding. It is said to be the highest peak in the South Taihang Mountains. There is a temple on the top of the mountain. The top of the temple is entirely made of iron sheets, so it is also called "Iron Summit". You can hike up the mountain to Laoyeding, or you can go up the mountain by cable car. The cable car costs 40 yuan for one way and 70 yuan for a round trip. I feel that the scenery on the third floor is similar to that on the second floor, except that I didn't go to the top of the mountain.
