Wanning is located at the midway point between Haikou and Sanya. The nearest airport to Wanning is in Boao Town, a neighboring county, and there are no direct flights. Therefore, Wanning’s usual method is to start from Haikou or Sanya, rent a car and drive yourself to visit the Shenzhou Peninsula, Shimei Bay, and Riyue Bay.
Thanks to Spring Airlines opening a temporary route from Ningbo to Boao. You can choose to land at Boao Airport.
But since we are going to an outdoor paradise, the way of traveling by car seems a bit incompatible with Wanning’s temperament. Of course, the main reason is that self-driving, a seemingly free way of traveling, is too cruel to people traveling alone!
Self-driving, the person sitting in the passenger seat is always happy. As for the main driver, in addition to the traffic lights, the only thing left in his eyes is the navigation map.

2.Boao Airport
There are two airport buses at Boao Airport, Line 1 goes to Qionghai Town, and Line 2 goes to Boao Town. The distance is about 25 kilometers, and the fare is said to be 20 yuan! It’s just that because there are not many people at the airport and there are few buses, the waiting time is too long! And it will stop shipping after 18:00! From the airport to Boao Town, it costs 40 yuan per person to take a private taxi!

3.The story of the sea
The locals say that in the beautiful Yudai Bay, there is a place you dream of, facing the sea, with spring flowers blooming. Her name is "The Story of the Sea". There are: coral houses, old boat stools, pony lanterns, there are: coffee, wine...
Sure enough, the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. After arriving, I suddenly realized that "Sea Story" is actually a small bar located on the seaside. The decoration layout is more like an accident at sea!

4. Sanqin Bay
Shanqin Bay is located in the northeast corner of Wanning. It is a wild beach that has not been commercially developed. Starting from Wanning, the distance is about 50 kilometers. Starting from Boao, the distance is about 21 kilometers.
There is no bus to Sanqin Bay, so you can only go there by yourself. The road from Boao to Shanqin Bay is also the road for cycling around the island in Hainan. I rented a bicycle at the Xiaobei Station B&B in Boao. The price was reasonable, only 20 yuan a day, and it was a mountain bike!

5. Jinshi Happy Gathering Hostel
Jinshi Huanju Hostel is located in Nanyan Bay in Wanning. It is an American pastoral style hostel with a room price of about 200 yuan/night. There is a free swimming pool, and the most important thing is that there is an electric car rental service for 50 yuan/half day.
The electric car can ride about 30 kilometers when fully charged. The distance from Nanyan Bay to Riyue Bay is about 26 kilometers. Some steep slopes on the return trip require getting off the car.

6. Riyue Bay
Riyue Bay is one of the sea areas in the world with high-quality fixed-point waves and beach waves. It is the bay with the best surfing resources in China and is loved by surfers at home and abroad! Wanning Riyue Bay holds various domestic and international high-level surfing competitions every year.
After the popularity of the summer surf shop, Riyue Bay has become an internet celebrity check-in place. Surfing lesson prices have also skyrocketed!

7. Somersault Xiao Yunyun
Boao and Wanning gave the shared bicycle an interesting name, called Somersault Xiaoyun Yun! The battery life of the motorcycle is not as strong as that of Ningbo's Xiaoyou, with a full battery life of only 40 kilometers.
The riding area of Boao Somersault Xiaoyun Yun is very large. You can ride from Boao Town to Qionghai Railway Station, Boao Railway Station, Zhongyuan Town and other places. Unable to ride to the airport.
The riding area of Wanning Somersault Xiaoyun Yun only covers Nanyan Bay, Shimei Bay, Shenzhou High-speed Railway Station, Outlet Plaza, etc. It is not possible to ride to Wanning High-speed Railway Station.
8.Zhongyuan Town
Zhongyuan Town is about 3 kilometers away from the airport and is a local residential area. The town is not big, with only one main street. The trees on both sides of the road look a bit like the dark hedges in Belfast, England. The town is full of delicious food, the most famous of which is Gangji cereals, which are cheap and delicious. Boao Airport is small and there is no shopping mall. You can have a meal in Zhongyuan Town and then take a walk to the airport.
