Tagong Grassland
It is located in Tagong Town, Kangding City, Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Starting from Kangding, we walked westward along the Sichuan-Tibet line over mountains and ridges, and then we came to this vast and gentle grassland. There is the legendary Tagong Temple here, where the mountain flowers are blooming in spring and summer. During the traditional horse racing festival at the turn of summer and autumn, you can see the majestic appearance of Kham men on horses and the elegant style of Tibetan daughters.

Breakfast was finished in Danba County. Today’s itinerary focuses on Tagong Grassland, “the place that Bodhisattva loves”, followed by classic routes such as Zheduo Mountain, Xinduqiao, and Gongga Mountain. The teammates' mood gradually became excited.

I heard that Tagong has an official CP - Yala Snow Mountain.
Approaching Tagong Grassland, the altitude rises sharply, but the undulating mountains give people a gentle feeling. The green grass is like a fluffy green blanket covering the mountains and plains.
"The place where God lives" - Yala Snow Mountain, stands on the edge of the grassland. You can enjoy the beauty of Yala Snow Mountain from several places in Tagong Grassland. But today, the sacred mountain is in a hidden state amidst the fairy energy.

The legend of Tagong Temple
Tagong means "the place that Bodhisattva likes". It is said that when Princess Wencheng entered Tibet, the Buddha suddenly spoke and wanted to stay here, so a Buddha was built here. An even more miraculous legend is that at the consecration ceremony a few years later, all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas appeared in the sky, exclaiming happily, and the sound of "Tagogong, Tagong" came from the sky.
The main temple in Tagong Temple is the Zhituo Pagoda, so it is called "Zhituo Sangzhulin", that is, "the Temple of One View and Freedom". In later generations, people successively built a forest of pagodas here, with more than 100 pagodas in total. The white pagoda in the east, the yellow pagoda in the south, the red pagoda in the west, and the green pagoda in the north are the most famous.

However, this is a real natural hot spring! It is still so hot after being drained for a long time. It is definitely not comparable to the so-called "warm" springs that wait for groundwater to be extracted and then heated. The sad Xiaobai felt like he was healed instantly!

Butter Spring, a small pool of spring water, bubbles pop up from time to time under the sunlight, and it never dries up all year round. There are clumps of yellow viscous substance floating on the spring water, which locals believe is a good remedy for stomach problems.
What is novel is that the prayer wheels here rely on water power to rotate, which is really rare!
Under the blessing of the sun, the prayer wheel slowly rotates clockwise, accompanied by the sound of gurgling water and small rainbows that appear from time to time, which is pleasing to the eye.

The legend of butter spring
Legend has it that the 11th Panchen Kaidrup Gyatso came from a poor family. When his mother was about to give birth, she still had to go to the mountains to chop firewood. One day, the Dalai Lama's mother was tired and hungry. When she arrived here to rest carrying firewood, she actually fell asleep! After waking up, the spring water turned into fragrant butter tea. She took a sip and felt energetic. The local people worshiped this spring as a sacred spring and worshiped it all year round to absorb spiritual energy.
