Motorcycle Tour in Western Sichuan

The Western Sichuan Ring Line, which was planned for the National Day last year, was finally abandoned due to various reasons (weather, technology, epidemic). This year I can finally put it on the agenda!

Plan the route before departure

Equipment: cycling clothes, daily clothes, red scarf (a must for keeping warm and concave shape, hahahahahaha), glasses, sunglasses (the sun on the plateau is very strong, and warriors who face the sun directly may get cataracts), disposable underwear, socks (Super convenient! A must-have for every trip), night cycling vest, raincoat and rain boots, camera, action camera, tripod (necessary for traveling alone), cold medicine, thermos cup (necessary for plateaus), baby warmer (foot and back warmers) All must have), flashlight, headlamp, tent, sleeping bag and moisture-proof pad

Learned the painful lesson from the last trip to Balang Mountain
This time I brought three pairs of gloves! ! !

Pack them into categories in plastic bags, which are double waterproof and easy to find.

A college classmate happened to be taking the Sichuan-Tibet Line during the National Day, and the time lines matched, so we made an appointment to set off and traveled along the way for two days. In order to avoid the National Day peak period, I took two days off and set off from Chongqing on September 29th!

According to my planned route, I originally took Ya'an and Luding to enter the Western Sichuan Ring Road. However, a section of the road in Luding County collapsed due to heavy rain for many days, so I changed it to Dujiangyan.

After all, the plan still can't keep up with the changes...

9.29 Bishan-Jianyang-Chengdu-Chongzhou Motorway Station 380km

We started setting off from home at 7:30 in the morning. It was a foggy day as soon as we left the house. We rode until Tongliang, where we happened to meet up with them.

Most of the roads today are easy to ride.

I finally feel the joy of large displacement
The weather is clear and the road is good, the speed is stable and the output is ~

We arrived at the inn after five o'clock in the afternoon. This is an internet celebrity check-in inn. As a gathering place for travelers to Tibet, it specially receives motorcycle friends from all over the country. There are also many motorcycle friends who use this place as their first stop when entering Tibet.

The counter is densely covered with the logos of various clubs that come to check in.

The route map and panda stickers given by the inn owner~

The chicken stewed with potatoes tasted pretty good and the portion was large. None of the three of us finished it.

The cat in the inn was very courageous and lay down directly in the middle of the road. It seemed like a cat that had only seen the world. It must have seen more motorcycles than I have ever seen, hahahaha

9.31 Modao – Balang Mountain – Xiaojin – Danba – Bamei Town 365km

The first group photo, we took a group photo and set off on time at 8 o'clock (Ah, this pixel cannot be saved...)

Climb Mount Balang~

There are no traffic restrictions on the bad road from Xiaojin to Danba. The sky is sunny and gray, so it is not difficult to ride. It is just that the bumps and bumps make my butt a little uncomfortable.

Arrive at Bamei Town after 5pm and set up tent today~

This picture really makes me laugh every time I look at it, hahahahaha

We ate noodles at a Tibetan home in the evening. The children were probably more curious about us. From the moment we arrived here, they kept running around us~

The starry sky at nine o'clock is really beautiful! ! ! !

Quietly looking at the starry sky that seems to belong to me alone

God, what troubles are there! !

It's so cold, it's frosty in the morning

The sun is starting to rise, but it's still very cold

Breakfast is butter tea and white steamed buns. Butter tea is a daily must-have drink for Tibetans. It can dispel cold, satisfy hunger and fight high fever, but it tastes salty...

10.1 Bamei—Longdeng Gesar Grassland—Luhuo—Seda 301km

Today I separated from my teammates. I went to Seda and they went to Tibet. Suddenly I was left alone, and I felt a little bit lost...

It was around 4 to 5 degrees Celsius in the morning. The cold air penetrated through the gloves and my hands were still cold. The scenery gets better and better, and the sense of loss is gradually left behind. Today's road conditions are better than the previous two days. The houses on the roadside are basically Tibetan style.

On the way to Daofu County, we met the Longdeng Gesar Grassland, with an altitude of about 3,500 meters.

The five-star red flag is flying high on the Longdeng grassland

I looked up for a long time

Happy birthday~

This was the grassland where King Gesar once fought.

As soon as I came in, two children surrounded me. They said something to me and enthusiastically introduced me to the name of the young horse grazing in front of me. In return, I took a few candies from my pocket and gave them to them.

There are many horses on the grassland, and the horse riding fee is also very cheap. A small circle is 50 yuan, and a large circle is only 70. It is the most cost-effective I have seen along the way.

Because today’s trip is quite long, I didn’t stop at Luhuo.

Coming out of Luhuo, we pass through the Tibetan Macaque Sanctuary. Wow! There are so many monkeys, they have taken over the road! Taking a leisurely walk, stopping a car to grab food, and just thinking.

Monkey riding a bicycle

eat dates

Tear the bag (so scared that I screamed on the spot, my rain bag!!)

Finally left with satisfaction

The road today was very easy to ride. I arrived at Seda just after 3 pm. I asked a few hotels whether they were too expensive or had no vacancies. Then I shamelessly asked a Tibetan family if I could stay in their hotel. Pitch a tent in the courtyard of your home

The aunt was afraid that I would freeze, so she directly asked me to stay at home. Out of embarrassment, she quickly declined. So the aunt asked me to set it up in the utility room, saying that it was going to rain at night, so it wouldn't be cold if I set it up here! Oh my god, don’t be too impressed! ! !

I gave the aunt 50 yuan and gave half of the snacks to his children. Huh~ I can finally live here with peace of mind, haha

Butter tea without salt, delicious~

Seda is a sacred and mysterious place in my heart, and the dream made up of countless red houses has long been rooted in my mind. So I drove thousands of miles just to see your face

The aunt said that in order to prevent disturbing the apprentices’ practice, the Buddhist academy has been closed and is no longer open to tourists! I was disappointed for a long time when I heard the news...

Sitting on the roadside and looking at the scenery, you can see believers dressed in red everywhere. Perhaps not being disturbed is the most beautiful thing about it~

10.2 Seda—Luhuo—Shouling Temple—Daofu 185km

The return journey started. After thanking my aunt, I packed up my clothes and set off~

Today is really the coldest day. My hands are frozen and stiff. I ride for a while and then stop to warm up on the engine.

Shouling Temple is a monastery of the Gelug sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Located on the mountainside of "Sedeng Longransu" on the north bank of Xianshui in Xindu Town, Luhuo County, Ganzi Prefecture, it is one of the "Thirteen Temples of Hor"

The biting cold in the morning makes me extremely greedy for the warm sunshine at this moment

The tripod did not hold up and fell over. I could still lift the naked bike by myself. With the 70 kilograms of luggage, I couldn’t lift it even if I had five bowls of rice...

After waiting for two minutes and seeing no one, I started to unload my luggage. Halfway through unloading, someone came! I waved excitedly. Sure enough, there is strength in numbers! Hahahahaha

The two eldest brothers just left and fell again! I guess there is no one who could do it twice in the same place... Later, with the help of a few big brothers, I successfully set foot on the return journey.

When I first entered Daofu County, I met a policeman on duty. He saluted me with a knight's salute and smiled excitedly, hahahahaha.

The inn where I stayed was in Tibetan style. The courtyard in front of the door was full of flowers and plants. It was so nice to see such a scene every day when I got up~

After cleaning up, go out to eat

Baita Temple in Daofu County, the sound of chanting can be heard in the temple ~

There is an endless stream of people who come to pray for blessings.

The little girl is helping the master clean, she must not have any worries~

10.3 Daofu-Moshi Park-Gerima Village-Gunong Village 125km

Get up early and set off from Daofu, passing through Bamei to Moshi Park, about 3,500 meters above sea level, an exotic planet hidden in the world of western Sichuan

These stone forests are mylonites formed by crustal fracture activity. Due to its unique terrain and complex structure, Inkstone Park is also known as "Geological Bermuda"

When you are there, you will definitely be immersed in the charm of nature.

The further you go, the stone forest is within reach, as if you are really walking on a mysterious planet in a foreign time and space.

After playing in Moshi Park for more than two hours, we set off for Rima Village. Gyrima Village is called "Little Seda". Although it is not as spectacular as Seda, it still has its own flavor~

In the distance is Yala Snow Mountain

Muya Temple on the top of Gerima Village

Camping in Gunong Village tonight

I can now set up a tent by myself very skillfully~

Only at this moment will you feel how delicious instant noodles are, even the soup!

There are mountains, water and grassland~

10.4 Gunong—Yala Pass—Honghaizi—Kangding—Luding 175km

I knew I couldn't escape the National Day traffic, and there was a huge traffic jam first when I set off early in the morning. Fortunately, the car is small, so I can move forward slowly by leaning on the side~

Entering Provincial Highway 434, today is the most beautiful day, the road is good all the way, and the weather is also very good! ! Walking on the road, I feel so happy, hahahahaha. Fight all the way to Yala Pass, 4,401 meters above sea level

Qingrao Shenshan

If you want to go from Kangding to Xinduqiao, I highly recommend Provincial Highway 434. There are few cars and the scenery is great! ! ! There is no need to take the congested old road with twists and turns and mountains! !

Honghaizi (Jiaxiala), the altitude here is about 4200 meters

Tripod + camera + mobile phone remote control, one person can achieve the freedom of taking photos~

Looking at the blue sky and clear water, I sigh that I have grown up another year! At the age of 24, can I realize my dream of traveling around Xinjiang?

After leaving Kangding, we went all the way downhill to Luding. This road is so familiar that I even remember some of the twists and turns! Everyone who has ridden the Sichuan-Tibet Line will definitely never forget these dozens of kilometers of slopes. There must be many people scolding and pedaling forward on their bicycles, hahahahahaha

A bicycle turns into a motorcycle~

10.5 Luding-Tianquan-Ya'an-Qionglai 210km

It was raining lightly in the morning, so I put on my raincoat and set off from Luding

Watching the sea of clouds dancing in the mountains from a distance

It turns out that the worst road is not from Danba to Xiaojin

But from Luding to Xingou! ! !

I went to Xiao Gong's house in Qionglai today. When she came down to help me with my luggage, she really attracted a lot of attention, hahahaha

Xiao Gong took me to visit Qiong Kiln Heritage Park

I finally don’t have to eat instant noodles today! ! ! happy! ! ! !

10.6-10.7 Qionglai-Jianyang-Lezhi-Bishan 369km

During the two days of driving in the rain, it really rained for two days, and my shoes were never dry! Fortunately, I sent all the sleeping bags and moisture-proof pads home in Qionglai! I'm so witty! Ha ha ha ha

if it is possible

I would like to keep swimming among the mountains and rivers

For nothing else

Just for the feeling of being on the road that I can never quit
