In Xishuangbanna, there is an unknown small village called Zhanglang Village. I was invited by a friend to visit Zhanglang Village for two days. It is still unforgettable to this day. I think it is a paradise.

Zhanglang Village is located in Xiding Township, Menghai County, 100 kilometers away from Xishuangbanna. It takes 2 hours to drive. The road from Xiding Township to Zhanglang Village is still difficult to walk. The scenery there is very primitive and beautiful.

That night, when we just went out, we met a few people talking at the door. It turned out that it was two elder brothers from Guangxi asking for directions to two locals. The locals said that they should go to our house for dinner. They saw us and said that they should go together. , so we went to a local’s home together.

Below is the meal we had at a villager’s house.

There are no street lights in the village, so after walking for a few minutes at night, we arrived at a local’s house. The houses here are all two-story, with the first floor supported by pieces of wood. People live on the second floor, which can prevent moisture. It’s a bit like Diaojiaolou.

The furnishings in the wooden house are very simple, which is also the most authentic life of the Blang people. Wine and food have already been placed on the table. After we sat down, the villagers poured us their own corn wine. The alcohol content was very high, but not high. Above.

The food was all Dai cuisine with no name, and we just sat and chatted.

The villagers were very enthusiastic, smoking and drinking, and soon the empty room was filled with smoke.

During the chat, I learned that their families grow sugar cane and tea, which are their main sources of income. Tea is still very profitable. Many people in the village have demolished their old wooden houses and built buildings.

Someone suggested singing. At this time, they took out an instrument that looked like a guitar, a bit like a dongula. The music played was very special, and the singing was incomprehensible. It was very exotic.

They sang and played the piano, and we clapped along, and the room suddenly became lively. When we got tired of singing, we drank for a while, and then continued singing after drinking. Suddenly we felt very relaxed and relaxed, and everyone was happy.

The culture of many ethnic minorities can only be so authentic in remote mountain villages. In the near future, this culture may slowly disappear, which is actually quite helpless.

I have always felt that travel is a very magical thing, which can bring together seemingly unrelated people. If it were not for travel, some people may never meet them in their lifetime, just like in Zhanglang Village, those of us who see People who seemed completely unrelated to each other met here.
