Introduction to Yaowang Hall: The statue of Sun Simiao is enshrined in Yaowang Hall. Sun Simiao was named the King of Medicine by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. The common people were grateful for his medical virtues, and both Taoism and Buddhism respected him. Therefore, they named him the Medical Sage and Medicine King Bodhisattva, and built temples to worship him.
