According to historical records, during the Yongjia Rebellion in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Yiguan migrated to the south, and the Huang family from the Central Plains moved to Fujian and settled in this lane, hence the name Huang Lane. Huang Pu, a Jinshi of the Tang Dynasty and the school secretary of Chongwen Pavilion, lived here and built a pavilion called Huanglou. From the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty to the early Qianlong period, it was the residence of Lin Zhichun. From the late Qianlong period to the Jiaqing period, it belonged to the brothers Liang Shangzhi and Liang Shangguo, who were later passed down to Liang Zhangju; and later his daughter Liang Huan. Zi and his son-in-law Zhao Xin lived there.
