Introduction to the Chastity Arch: It was a stone archway built for Wu Mei, a chaste woman from Zhaohua, who was personally approved by the emperor in the 19th year of Daoguang reign of the Qing Dynasty (1839 AD). It is now being rebuilt. The archway is 7.8 meters high and 5.6 meters wide. The two sides of the archway are engraved with patterns related to chastity and filial piety such as "Meng Meng's Three Moves", "Mother-in-law's Tattoo", "Yongquan Leap Carp", "Tang's Nanny" and so on. The lintels on both sides The words "Bingqing, Yujie" and "Zhuxiang, Lanxin" are respectively engraved on them, indicating Wu Mei's noble character. The inscription above records Wu Mei's touching deeds.
