How to get there:

Anguilla has extremely convenient transportation. Visitors can reach the island by air or water from Puerto Rico, Dutch/French Saint Martin, Antigua and St. Kitts.

Airport: Wallblake Airport is located on the outskirts of Valley City. This airport is not an international airport and is only a landing destination for American Eagle/American Airlines. It can accommodate small to medium-sized aircraft, including Dash 8, Super ATR 72 and most company aircraft.

International ports: The closest international ports to Anguilla are San Juan and Antigua, Puerto Rico (1 hour air travel), and St. Maarten, the Netherlands/French (7 minutes air travel) .

Ferry: The first ferry departs at 7:30 in the morning and travels every 30 to 45 minutes. The evening ferry departs from Marigot in St. Martin, France at 7:00 pm. Departure; the last ferry from Anguilla departs from Cape Wind at 6:15 pm and the sailing time is 20 minutes.

Precautions:

Visa: Please apply for a tourist visa to Anguilla from the nearest British Embassy or Consulate. A single-entry visa costs EC$200 and a multiple-entry visa costs EC$500.

Entry: Passport and return/outbound air tickets are required.

Departure Tax: All adult visitors leaving Anguilla, whether by plane or ferry, are required to pay a US$20 departure tax; children between the ages of 5 and 12 are required to pay a US$10 departure tax. Day trips to nearby islands depart from Cape Winds Ferry Terminal for just $5 departure tax.

Clothing: Please wear smart casual clothing. Anguilla does not welcome men or women wearing shorts, bikinis, bras or going topless in public; skinny swimming and/or nude sunbathing is also not permitted. All Anguilla's beaches are public beaches. Please also note: May to November is mosquito season, so please bring mosquito repellent.
