Meiligeng (Mongolian meaning "wisdom") Scenic Area is nestled at the southern foot of Wula Mountain in the Yinshan Mountains, 30 kilometers west of Baotou, overlooking the Jiuqu Yellow River in the south, and adjacent to Bayannur League in the west. It is a natural scenic area dominated by numerous giant spherical granite mountains, waterfalls and plant landscapes. It is famous for its four unique features: "sea of forests, strange pines, waterfalls and pools, miraculous scenery of the sea of clouds, and strange peaks and rocks." In the scenic area, there are long, majestic and majestic peaks, waterfalls and springs flowing between rocks, and the scenery is beautiful and unique. How to get there:
Bus route: Baotou city bus No. 1, 5, 25, 12, 3, 29, 60 (fare 1 yuan - 2 yuan) to Qiate Station, then transfer to bus No. 9 (ticket Price: 8 yuan) Arrive at the stop sign of National Highway 110 at Meiligeng Scenic Area.
A. You can discuss with the No. 9 bus driver to take it directly to the Meiligeng Visitor Center where you can buy tickets, and then take the Meiligeng tourist shuttle bus to the scenic spot.
B. You can take a local herdsman’s taxi to the tourist center of the scenic spot. The price is negotiable.
C. You can walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Meiligen Scenic Area Visitor Center.
Self-driving route:
1. Baotou:
National highway: Minzu East Road, go north on National Highway 110 and then drive west for about 30 kilometers → pass Haye Hutong → Meili is more natural Ecological Scenic Area (toll on National Highway 110 is 10 yuan)
Go west around the city → to the Hadamen exit → get on National Highway 110 and drive west for about 17 kilometers → pass through Haye Hutong → Meili is more natural and ecological Scenic Area
Tuanjie Street → Kunhe North Bridge → Kundu Lunzhao → Get on National Highway 110 and drive west for about 25 kilometers → Pass Haye Hutong → Meili Geng Natural Ecological Scenic Area.
Expressway: Go north on Minzu East Road and get off at Hademen Toll Station → get on National Highway 110 and drive west for about 25 kilometers → pass Haye Hutong → Meili Geng Natural Ecological Scenic Area. (Expressway toll is 5 yuan)
2. Hohhot:
Take Danla Expressway toward Baotou → get off at Baogang Exit (highway toll is about 75 yuan) → take National Highway 110 to the west About 20 kilometers → Meili Geng Natural Ecological Scenic Area.
Ordos:
Take the 210 National Highway towards Baotou → drive west on the Baotou South Ring Road → get to Hadamen Exit → take the 110 National Highway and drive west for about 17 kilometers → pass through Haye Hutong →Meiligeng Natural Ecological Scenic Area
Bayannur:
Take the Danla Expressway toward Baotou → Exit at Baiyanhua Exit (highway toll is about 60 yuan) → About 8 kilometers east → Mei Ligeng Ecological Scenic Area.
