Baotou Saihantala Urban Grassland is located in the city center and is the only "urban grassland" among cities in the country and even Asia. The park was originally a natural wetland, covering an area of nearly 10,000 acres, and was one of the pastures of the Urad tribe. It was preserved during large-scale urban construction in the early 1950s, thus creating this unique grassland in the city.
