How to get there:
Brunei's main means of transportation to the outside world is airplane. Brunei International Airport is about 12 kilometers away from the center of the capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, and has flights to some cities in Southeast Asia.
Brunei is a very wealthy country, and most people have cars, so its public transportation is not very developed. Usually you have to wait for an hour for a bus, there is no fixed frequency, and it leaves only when it is full. Most buses stop leaving before 4pm.
Taxis are charged by the kilometer and are very expensive and hard to find. The starting price is 3 Brunei Dollars, and there is an additional 5 Brunei Dollars for round trip to the airport.
