Saihanba National Forest Park is the largest forest park in northern China. It is located in the Bashang area of Chengde. It was part of the "Mulan Paddock", one of the famous royal hunting gardens in the Qing Dynasty. The total area of the forest park is 410,000 acres, including 1.06 million acres of forest landscape and 200,000 acres of grassland landscape, with a forest coverage rate of 75.2%.
