The creators of the London Eye are architects Mark and Barfield, who proposed the plan in 1993 in an architectural design competition organized by The Times and the Architecture Foundation to celebrate the millennium in London, and finally made it a reality with financial support from British Airways.This behemoth on the Thames River is 135 meters high and is rotated by two motors on the platform. It has 60 closed cabins, each of which can accommodate 20 people. The cabins are equipped with solar cells to provide electricity for ventilation, lighting and communication systems. The best place to view the London Eye is on the South Bank of the Thames. The side close to Westminster Abbey faces the London Eye. It can also be viewed from the bridges on both sides of the Thames.

The ticket office starts selling tickets at 9:30 every day and ends 30 minutes in advance.
Closed on Christmas Day and January 9-15, closes at 17:30 on Christmas Eve and 15:00 on New Year's Eve.
