Tashilhunpo Monastery is the largest monastery in Shigatse, Tibet, and one of the six famous Yellow Sect monasteries in China. Tashilhunpo Monastery, whose full name is "Tashilunbu Baiji Deqinqu Tangjiele Nanbajiewalin", means "Auspicious Xumi gathers blessings from all directions". It is located on the eastern slope of Nima Mountain in the west of Shigatse City, covering an area of 150,000 square meters. It is surrounded by palace walls. The monastery is built on the hillside, with its back against the mountain, sitting north and facing south. The halls are connected in sequence, with balanced density, harmonious symmetry, and macro and magnificent.Attractions distribution:
Tashilhunpo Monastery has four major zacangs (monasteries), 62 micuns (depending on the monks' place of origin), and nearly 60 Buddhist halls and stupas. How to get there:
Tashilhunpo Monastery is located in the west of the city. You can walk there or rent a tricycle. The tricycle costs 3 yuan per person.

Ticket prices for Tashilhunpo Monastery:
It is free for Tibetans and 55 yuan for tourists. No discount for students. It is free during Tibetan festivals, such as the Buddha Dance Festival.
