Dalian Lushun Museum is a history and art museum. Its predecessor was the Manchu and Mongolian Products Exhibition Hall during the Japanese rule of Dalian. This museum with a history of nearly a century has changed its name and transformation several times, and was named "Lushun Museum" in 1954. While doing a good job in basic display of collections, the museum also insists on introducing and launching various special exhibitions. It has become one of the best museums with outstanding influence and able to represent the image of Chinese civilization. In May 2008, it was rated as a museum by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage. A national first-class museum.

Attractions distribution:

Lushun Museum consists of two parts: the main museum and the branch museum. The main museum takes "Thematic Exhibition of Historical Cultural Relics" as its theme and relies on its rich collections to display eight special topics and one temporary exhibition hall throughout the year. The museum area is dominated by natural lighting and is equipped with auxiliary facilities such as audio guides and multimedia inquiries. The branch library was officially opened to the public in May 2001. It has two floors. The first floor is for the special topic "Dalian Ancient Civilization" and the second floor is for "Series Exhibitions of Foreign Cultural Relics in the Collection". The exhibition hall is mainly fully enclosed with artificial lighting, and the advanced multi-functional lecture hall can better serve the exhibition. The branch library also has an exhibition space of more than 500 square meters to accommodate inter-library exchange exhibitions.
