Dandong Dalu Island is the largest island at the northern end of my country's coastline. It covers an area of ​​about 6 square kilometers and is 9 nautical miles away from Dagushan Pier. The waters near Dalu Island were the place where the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1899 broke out in the Yellow Sea War, which shocked China and the world. The national hero Deng Shichang, 700 soldiers and four warships including the "Zhiyuan" were sacrificed and sunk in the sea of ​​Dalu Island. There is also Deng Shichang's tomb and statue of Deng Shichang on the island.
