Dayi Xinchang Ancient Town is one of the famous historical and cultural towns on the Tea Horse Road. It is also the largest and best-protected Xishu Water Town ancient town in Sichuan. For hundreds of years, merchants have gathered in Xinchang, and there are more than 200,000 square meters of Western Sichuan houses, streets, houses, and churches that combine Chinese and Western styles in the Ming and Qing Dynasties that are well preserved. Nowadays, Xinchang Ancient Town, "raised in a boudoir" and difficult for the world to see in its entirety, is becoming more and more well-known and has become a new destination for people to travel and vacation.

Dayi Xinchang is located in the southwest of Chengdu, 58 kilometers away from Chengdu. On Shangxiazheng Street in the ancient town, there is a Catholic church, a Guangdong Guild Hall, a group of residential buildings in Western Sichuan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, and 18 relatively complete teahouses and residential courtyards. The streets and alleys maintain a well-shaped pattern, and the buildings facing the streets are all "wooden blue tile" shops, mostly in the form of wooden town buildings, with shops below, storage above, and patio rooms at the back. The ancient buildings have carved beams and painted windows, which are simple and beautiful, the bionic sculptures are lifelike, and the rows of fire-sealing walls are well preserved.
