Xiyuan Palace is one of the Taoist temples with a long history in Fuzhou. It is located at the southern foot of Longtan Mountain in Xiyuan Village, Shangjie Town, Minhou County, adjacent to Fuzhou University Town. Xiyuan Palace is built against a mountain and facing a stream. It has been built and destroyed several times. The current Xiyuan Palace was rebuilt in 1994 with donations from overseas Chinese and local people. It is magnificent and popular. At the same time, Xiyuan Palace is also the name of the village, and the locals refer to this area collectively as Xiyuan Palace.
