1. Every year, the grassland holds one or two traditional horse races. Herdsmen dressed in festive costumes gather in Tagong Grassland from all directions to celebrate the traditional festival.
2. The Tagong Temple regularly holds pujas every year:
From the first to the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, we pray for world peace, prosperity of Buddhism, and everything in the new year. The bad luck will be eliminated, the weather will be smooth, and everything will be auspicious.
From the first to the tenth day of the fourth lunar month, the Great Sun Tathagata Dharma Assembly is held to practice the Great Sun Tathagata Dharma, hold fire offerings, and save all the dead souls in the world.
From the 11th to the 15th day of the fourth lunar month, observe the Eight Passes Fasting Precepts and practice the Guanyin Method.
From the first to the fourteenth day of the sixth lunar month, the Dharma Protector Dharma Assembly is held to support the Dharma protector, perform the Vajra Dance, and pray for blessings.
From the 15th day of the 6th month to the 30th day of the 7th month of the lunar calendar, we spend the summer in peace, chanting sutras and practicing Dharma.
From the 24th to the 29th of the twelfth lunar month, the Dharma Protector Dharma Assembly will be held and the Vajra Dance will be performed.

How to get there:
Bus route: There are multiple minibuses running from Kangding to Tagong every day, which is very convenient; you can also charter or rent a car.
Self-driving route: From Kangding, go west for about 70 kilometers along National Highway 318 to Xinduqiao Town. After passing Xinduqiao, go north for 33 kilometers along Provincial Highway 215 to reach Tagong. Most scenic spots in Tagong Scenic Area are located on both sides of the highway.
