Huaying Mountain is one of the eight Buddhist holy sites in the country and is known as "Little Emei". The tourist area is located in Huaying City, Guang'an, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 20 square kilometers. The highest peak is 1,740.2 meters above sea level. Huaying Mountain is the site of the Southern Song Dynasty tombs with the most exquisite carvings, the most unearthed cultural relics, the highest historical value and the highest tomb specifications in the country. It was also the revolutionary base of the Huaying Mountain guerrillas led by the Eastern Sichuan Underground Party during the War of Liberation. The Huaying Mountains broke out in the 1940s. The armed uprising in the mountains and the legendary story of the "Old Woman with Two Guns" all happened here, and Huaying Mountain has therefore become one of the birthplaces of the Red Rock Spirit.Attractions distribution:
Huaying Mountain Tourist Area is represented by beautiful karst stone forests and caves. It integrates beautiful peaks and strange rocks, Buddhist culture, tiankeng caves, lush forests and bamboos, and Huaying Mountain guerrilla relics. The natural scenery and cultural landscape complement each other. The landscape characteristics can be summarized as "strange peaks, strange rocks, green mountains and secluded valleys", and show the four-season changes of "green in spring, shade in summer, red in autumn and white in winter". There are more than 30 testable relics in the area, including the Baoding built during the reign of Suzong of the Tang Dynasty and Huaying Mountain, the former residence of An Bing, the Privy Councilor of the Southern Song Dynasty. Suitable for all seasons.
1. March to May every year is the best time to view flowers in Huaying Mountain;
2. June to August every year is the best time to escape the summer heat;
3. September to November every year is the best time to appreciate the red leaves in Huaying Mountain;
4. The three months from December to February of the next year are the best time to view the red leaves in Huaying Mountain. Best time for snow views.

How to get there:
Tourists can reach Huaying Mountain Tourist Area by train or bus from Chengdu and Chongqing:
1. Chengdu→ Huaying Mountain Scenic Area:
Self-driving: 288 kilometers from Chengdu (South) Guangzhou Expressway→ 20 kilometers from Tianchi Station of Guanglin Expressway (get off the expressway) → turn left and go on the scenic tourist highway for 16 kilometers → scenic area; long-distance bus: Chengdu Shiling Bus Station → 288 kilometers from Guang’an, Guang’an North Station → 43 kilometers from the scenic area.
2. Chongqing → Huaying Mountain:
Turn from Yulin Expressway to Guang'anlin Expressway for 83 kilometers → Tianchi Station (get off the expressway) → Turn left onto the scenic tourist highway for 16 kilometers → Scenic Area;

Instructions for purchasing tickets:
1. Children's tickets: half ticket for heights 1.2 meters to 1.4 meters, free ticket for those under 1.2 meters;
2. Half ticket for seniors aged 60 to 70 years old ( Including those over 60 years old), those over 70 years old are free of charge. Free for active duty military and officers, 20% off for teachers and full-time students. The above preferential policies can only be enjoyed with relevant valid certificates;
3. Celebrations on the ninth day of the Lunar New Year and the ninth day of September (Double Ninth Festival) in the scenic area are free of charge.
