Scenic spot introduction:

Guangyuan Niutoushan Scenic Area is famous all over the world because the famous Shu Han general Jiang Wei led 30,000 soldiers to defeat the 200,000 army of Wei general Zhong Hui. Niutou Peak is dangerous and majestic. It has been a battleground for military strategists since ancient times and has left many legends throughout the ages. The majestic natural wonder composed of Lingshui and beautiful mountains - the "Landscape Tai Chi Diagram" - makes Niutoushan a perfect Feng Shui treasure land, attracting tourists frequently. Asking questions, watching Tai Chi, exploring the secluded areas and appreciating the red leaves, the "Tao" of Niutoushan has a long history. In the past, soldiers were trapped in Niutou Mountain. Today, Niutou Mountain is a place for leisure and relaxation. It is a paradise for spiritual cultivation and freedom of mind and body.

Attractions distribution:

Niutoushan is located seven kilometers west of Zhaohua Ancient City, with an altitude of 1,214 meters. The scenic area is dominated by historical monuments, including cultural attractions such as Niu Ho Stone, Dianjiang Platform, Tai Chi Water Worship Platform, Niu King Temple, Jiangwei Well, Dama Cao, Fei Yi's Tomb, as well as natural scenery such as Qilixiang and Wucai Valley. Tourists can also follow the ancient Shu Road and climb Tianxiong Pass to appreciate the magnificent scenery of mountains and rivers.

It is recommended that tourists arrange a two-day trip to visit Zhaohua Ancient City and Niutoushan respectively. Tourists with good physical strength can walk from the ancient city to the scenic spot.

How to get there:

Bus route: Take the long-distance bus from Guangyuan Nanhe Station to Zhaohua, and transfer to the ancient city; you can also climb directly to the top of the mountain along the road behind the ancient city.

Self-driving route: Leave the Beijing-Kunming Expressway from the Zhaohua exit and drive along Jianzhao Road.

Niutoushan ticket price:

Full ticket is 25 yuan/person, discounted ticket is 12 yuan/person.

Free ticket policy: Children under 1.2 meters in height are free of charge; senior citizens over 70 years old are free of charge with their ID cards, active military personnel (PLA and Armed Police), etc. with valid certificates.

Preferential policy: Students above 1.2 meters can buy half-ticket tickets for scenic spots with their student ID cards, and senior citizens between 60 and 69 years old with valid IDs.
