Introduction to the Niu King Temple: Taishang Laojun, the originator of Taoism, once practiced Taoism in Zhaohua and had a white bull and a green bull. The White Ox fought hard to kill the evil dragon and eliminate harm for the people. After his death, he transformed into Niutou Mountain and was named the Ox King, forever guarding the mountain. Later generations built the Bull King Temple on the top of the mountain to worship at all times.
