Yiyuan Lushan Cave Group Scenic Area Tourism Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

Yiyuan Lushan Cave Group Scenic Area is the largest group of caves in northern my country and is praised by experts as "the first group of caves in Jiangbei". The caves here are centered on the Yiyuan Ape Man Site and were developed in the thick micrite limestone of the Middle Ordovician. They date back more than 500 million years. They are the most concentrated natural caves north of the Yangtze River, and many of the cave landscapes are among the best in the country. The scenery inside the cave is wonderful and dangerous, coupled with the deep valleys and green peaks of Mount Lu, it is pleasing to the eye and lingers on. Many caves were once places where ancient apes lived and multiplied. Ape-man skulls and several tooth fossils were excavated, along with a large number of animal fossils, and a large number of ape-man stone tools were discovered. They are of great archaeological value and are of great significance for studying the origins of anthropology.

Attractions distribution:

Lushan Cave Group is located on Wangfeng Road, 13 kilometers northwest of Yiyuan County. There are more than 100 caves within a radius of 5 kilometers. Currently, Jiutian Cave, Qianren Cave, Yangshen Cave, Coral Cave, Xuanyun Cave, Ganoderma Cave, There are more than a dozen caves such as Shenxian Cave and Shilong Cave. The karst cave group is represented by Jiutian Cave. The landscape in the cave is unique, crystal clear, with various shapes and forms, such as stone mantles, stone curtains, stone pillars, stalagmites, stone lotus, stone ice, and curled stones.
