The Vittoria Emanuele II Monument (Italian: Monumento nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II) is a neoclassical building built in 1911 to commemorate the unification of Italy. It is also called the "Altar of the Fatherland" by Italians. The memorial is located between Piazza Venezia and Capitoline Hill in Rome, Italy. It is named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of unified Italy. It was designed by Giuseppe Sacconi in 1895, and the sculptures on the building were completed by sculptors from all over Italy.

The memorial hall is built with pure white marble from Brescia and features a grand staircase, a tall semicircular Corridor , fountain ,huge Equestrian statue of Vittorio Emanuele II and two chariot-mounted Statue of goddess Victoria The entire building is 135 meters wide and 70 meters high. Including the chariot and Victoria on the roof, the height reaches 81 meters. The Italian Unification Museum and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier are located on the ground floor of the memorial hall.
