Scenic spot introduction:

The Château de Chenonceau in France is the most romantic of the castles in the Loire Valley. Water Castle ", is likened to a ship anchored on the Hill River. Chenonceau Castle spans the Hill River, a tributary of the Loire River. It is composed of a main fortress, a corridor, a platform and a round tower. Two large gardens are built on the river bank like two exquisitely patterned carpets. Because many queens, concubines and noble ladies have lived in the castle, many erotic and lingering stories have been passed down, and it is also called the "Women's Castle".

Attractions distribution:

The first lady of Chenonceau Castle was Katherine Briçonnet, the wife of Thomas Bohier. The original owner of the manor, Jean Marques, sold the castle to the Bohier couple due to heavy debts. Katherine was born in a noble family, well-educated, knowledgeable and financially strong. She was in charge of the reconstruction of the castle from 1515 to 1521. She demolished most of the original castle and rebuilt it beautifully. After Katherine and her husband passed away, the then King François I ordered an inspection of the castle's accounts and asked Bohier's son to pay a huge fine. As Bohier's son failed to pay in time, he had to hand over the castle to the king.
After the death of Francis I, Henry II succeeded to the throne and gave the castle to his mistress Diane de Poitiers in 1547. The beautiful and shrewd Diane built a covered house on the castle. Covered Bridge , making the castle span from one side of Le Cher to the other side, and built the most magnificent and modern garden in France at that time in front of the castle.
In 1559, Henry II was killed by his own captain in a competition. Queen Catherine de' Medici immediately issued an order to exchange the Château Chaumont and Diana for the Château de Chenonceau. The queen was born into an Italian noble family with a high level of artistic accomplishment. After the castle was returned, she renovated it in the Florentine style: Covered Bridge A gallery was built on the top, the building was raised by two floors, and its own garden was built.
The fourth woman to own a castle was Louise de Lorraine-Vaudémont, the widow of Henry III. After her husband Henry III was assassinated by monk Jacques Clerc in 1589, she lived in seclusion in the castle to meditate and pray. Her room still retains its black walls and black ceiling, decorated with sentimental decorations such as white tears, widow's girdle, crown of thorns, and patterns of the first letters of her own name and her husband's name intertwined.
The fifth woman who was inseparable from the castle was Madame Louise Dupin. After purchasing the castle in the 18th century, she devoted herself to turning it into a salon of philosophy and literature. Voltaire, Montesquieu, Rousseau and others were her guests. Thanks to her kindness and generosity, the castle was able to remain intact during the French Revolution.
The last was Madame Pruze, who is said to have completely restored the castle in 1863 in the style of Queen Catherine de' Medici.
