Chagyema Hall is the oldest and largest ancient temple in Qamdo, under the management of Yanggong Temple. Yanggong Temple was founded by the eminent monk Sangjiwen in 1277 AD and is one of the main temples of the Dalung Kagyu sect. In 1285 AD, Sangjiwen laid the foundation for the construction of Chagyema Hall, which was completed in 1328. The hall has always been famous for its magnificent momentum and numerous treasures. Buddha statues The temple is famous for its classics. In the past, the local people had the saying "go to the Jokhang Temple in Lhasa first, and then visit the Jamyang Hall". The temple still houses high-quality cultural relics. The exquisite decoration of the scriptures and the superb art of the statues and sculptures are second to none among Tibetan Buddhist temples.

Every year on the 15th day of the sixth month of the Tibetan calendar, Zhongque Festival "It is held in Leiwuqi Town. This festival is considered to be very large in the Qamdo area.

Believers from Qinghai, Sichuan, and Diqing, Yunnan, come here to worship and circumambulate the mountain, and exchange materials. The scene is very lively, and it is also a great opportunity to experience the Tibetan culture.

Best time to visit:

May, June and September. The places near Bangda Airport in Qamdo are open for tourism all year round. Other places are located in high mountains and valleys.

In this area, the mountains are mostly closed due to heavy snow from November to March of the following year, while there are more mudslides and landslides during the rainy season in July and September.
