Travel guide to Xixia Laoyuan River Rafting Scenic Area

Scenic spot introduction:

Laoyuan River rafting is known as "the first rafting in the Central Plains" because of its scale and rafting distance. The scenic spot is located in the upper reaches of the Old Stork River in Xixia, Henan Province, 42 kilometers away from Xixia County, with National Highway 311 and Henan Provincial Highway 48 passing through it. It forms a golden tourism loop with important scenic spots such as Longtangou Waterfalls, Shuaheguan Canyon, and Laojieling Scenic Area. The rafting section is more than 480 meters long and the rafting distance is 12 kilometers. It is the earliest rafting development in the Central Plains, the longest, most exciting and largest rafting project.

There are many beautiful scenery along the rafting process, including the "First Beach of the Stork River", "Nine Dragon Beach", the lifelike "Wolong", "Dragon Chair", the thrilling "Dancing Beach" and other eighteen beaches. In addition, the entire river has undulating mountains and rich vegetation and landform combinations, including rare plants such as ginkgo trees and gallbladder trees, which are known as "living fossils." In the scenic area, there are steep peaks and cliffs on both sides of the bank, lush forests and bamboos, storks flying in the air, mandarin ducks playing in the river, fish and shrimp leaping underwater, the scenery is beautiful and picturesque.
