Nanwan Monkey Island is the only tropical island macaque nature reserve in my country and the world. The scenic area is located on the Nanwan Peninsula, about 14 kilometers south of Lingshui County, Hainan Province. It is surrounded by the sea on three sides and is long and narrow in shape. The total area is about 10.2 square kilometers. There are 12 rolling hills of varying sizes. There are countless large caves on the mountains and rugged rocks. There are many species of animals and plants on the island, with a forest coverage rate of 95%. The scenery is beautiful and the climate is pleasant. There are nearly 2,000 lively and cute macaques living on the island.
