Scenic spot introduction:

Binzhou Du Shoutian's former residence is the former residence of Du Shoutian, the mentor of Emperor Xianfeng of the Qing Dynasty. It is also a typical Ming and Qing architectural complex in northern Shandong. The Du family in Binzhou has been prosperous for more than 500 years during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, breaking the common custom of "no wealth can last more than three generations", which is rare in China. The Du family is famous for being "twelve Jinshi from one family", "four generations and six Hanlins", "four generations of prime ministers", and "full of upright officials". It has many famous ministers and is known as the first family in northern Shandong. The Du family's cultural education forged a large number of upright martyrs, refined and loyal ministers, and trained emperors. In addition to the influence of traditional and common thoughts, understanding their unique culture may provide some enlightenment for today's people in their conduct as people and officials.

Du Shoutian's former residence is located on South Street of Binbei Street Office, covering an area of about 25 acres. The former residence contains 28 small courtyards, including more than 300 main rooms, embroidered buildings, wing rooms, ancestral halls and other houses. The main buildings include stables, Jude Hall, Gangzhu, Taikangdi, Hanlin Hall, Rongde Hall, Jingmingshan House, Datong Inn, Xiulou, Shaodetang, etc.

How to get there:

Bus route: Take bus No. 24 and get off at the Du Shoutian Former Residence stop. You will arrive immediately after getting off.

Self-driving route: From Binzhou City to Bohai 5th Road, go north along National Highway 205 to Binbei Town. When you see the big billboard of the scenic spot on the right, turn left and you will reach the scenic spot.
