Qingdao Catholic Church is the only consecrated church in China and the largest Gothic building in Qingdao. The church's real name is St. Michael's Church, which was designed by German designer Biloha combining Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles. The proposed church was originally 100 meters high. Due to the outbreak of World War II, Hitler strictly prohibited the outflow of funds from Germany, so the church revised the drawings. It took two years to build the church to its current size. Qingdao Catholic Church is a masterpiece of Christian architectural art with its solemn shape, simplicity and elegance. It was listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 2006.

The Catholic church is made of yellow granite and reinforced concrete, with beautiful and simple patterns as carvings on the surface. There is a glass window above the church door, and a bell tower stands on each side of the window. Once the four large bells hanging in the tower are sounded, the sound can be transmitted several miles away, which is very pleasant. Entering the church, you will find a hall that can accommodate thousands of people at the same time. The interior of the hall is decorated in the Italian Renaissance style, giving people a spacious and bright feeling. There are seven large chandeliers on the ceiling of the hall, and there is an altar at the back. Together with the icon murals on the dome, it is even more solemn and beautiful.
