The north entrance door has a secret passage built along the stone steps to climb to the platform base. There is a two-story pavilion on the top of the platform with double eaves and a cross. The pavilion is surrounded by circular corridors. The top ridge of the pavilion is decorated with a dragon head and a string of pearls in the middle. There is a shadow puppet show inside the pavilion. At night, the Drum Tower is brilliantly lit and extremely charming.
