Loudi Shuangfeng Zeng Guofan's Hometown Tourist Area is a memorial site for Zeng Guofan, an important historical figure in modern history of our country. With its former residence Fuhoutang as its core, it is one of the most popular scenic spots for cultural tourism in Hunan. Although the whole building is on the scale of a prince's palace, it is simple and generous. Although it has carved beams and paintings, it is not grand. Its most important part is that it once contained more than 300,000 volumes of books. It is one of the largest private libraries in my country that is well preserved. Zeng Guofan's hometown tourist area is located in Futuo Village, Heye Town, Shuangfeng County, Loudi City, Hunan Province, covering an area of 100 square kilometers. Including Fuhoutang, Baiyutang, Huanghuangtang, Dafudi (Dundetang, Zhongshantang), Wanyitang, Xiushantang, Youhengtang, Huazhutang, Wenjitang and other Zeng family’s ten ancestral tombs, as well as Qiu Jin’s former residence and Cai Chang’s former residence Guangjia Hall. How to get there:
Bus route: Take bus No. 2 from Loudi Railway Station to the bus station, take the shuttle bus from the bus station to Heye Town, and walk directly from Heye to the former residence.
Self-driving route: Changsha → Shanghai-Kunming Expressway G60 → Taling Interchange to Yuelin Expressway S61 → Ginkgo Exit → Former Residence of Zeng Guofan.
