How to get there:
There are about 60 direct flights between Malta and major European cities, but there are no direct flights with China. Tourists can transfer through Frankfurt, Dubai, Paris, London and other cities and land at the Malta International Airport. There are bus and taxi services at the airport.
Malta has a small land area and no railway or high-speed transportation system. Domestic transportation mainly relies on roads, with right-hand drive and left-hand driving. Chinese citizens who are visiting Malta for a short period of three months can use a domestic driving license with a valid translation. Those who stay in Malta for more than three months must apply to the Malta Transport Bureau for a replacement local driving license.
There are ferries between Malta and Gozo; there is a water taxi service at the Water Front pier in the capital, Valletta, where tourists can take a small boat to visit the harbor or go to various islands. In addition, there are multiple passenger ferries to and from Sicily, Italy, every day.
