The Nanhe Small Three Gorges Scenic Area is famous in Central China for its green mountains, beautiful waters, secluded caves, strange rocks and ancient trees. The Fenqing River in the south of the Nanhe River originates from the Yangri Bay of Shennongjia, and the Malan River originates from the Wudang Mountains in the north. It flows through Baoding. Zhuzang Cave in Kang County joins the Nanhe River, entering Gucheng County from Dongzhuang Valley to Geleizui and entering the Han River. It winds through the canyon for more than 30 kilometers. It has beautiful mountains and clear waters and pleasant scenery. Since the completion of the Nanhe Dam in 1980, the scenic area has become more prosperous.
