Hainan Bawangling National Nature Reserve Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

Hainan Bawangling National Nature Reserve is located in the southeast of Changjiang County, adjacent to Baisha, Ledong and Dongfang counties, with an area of 29,980 hectares (2003), and the main peak, Heiling, is 1,560 meters above sea level. Bawangling Nature Reserve is the only national nature reserve in China that protects gibbons and their living environment, covering an area of nearly 300 square kilometers. The reserve is full of mountains, green peaks, vast forests, towering ancient trees, and a well-preserved natural ecosystem. It is extremely rich in tropical biological resources. There are more than 60 rare animals such as precious monitor lizards, clouded leopards, black bears, as well as precious plants such as tropical orchids, mantou fruits, mountain pomegranates, mangosteens, black ink, green fruit figs, mountain olives, hairy peonies and wild lychees.
