According to the Yazhou Chronicle compiled in the 26th year of Emperor Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty, "Yalang Bay is 50 miles east of Yulin Port", so it is analyzed that "Yalong Bay" was called "Yalang Bay" in ancient times. It is said that "Yalang Bay" comes from the local Li language, which is related to the sand in the bay here. Ya or Lang means white jade, which describes the sand as white as jade.
