Longji Rice Terraces are known as the "crown of terraces in the world". They are famous at home and abroad for their majestic momentum, flowing lines, changing charm and unique folk customs. They are unmatched by other terraces in the world. The scenic area is located in Heping Township, Longsheng Autonomous County, Guilin City, in the Longji Mountains with an altitude of 1,916 meters. The highest point of the terraces is 1,180 meters above sea level, with a vertical drop of 800 meters and a total area of 71.6 square kilometers. Longji Rice Terraces has a long history and splendid ethnic culture. It was built in the Yuan Dynasty, formed in the Ming Dynasty, and completed in the early Qing Dynasty. It has a history of nearly 700 years. Longji Rice Terraces is a scenic spot with terraced rice farming culture as the main body, combining natural landscape with ethnic minority cultural landscape.

How to get there:

Take bus No. 2 in Guilin and get off at the last stop, Qintan Station, and then transfer to the Longsheng bus to Longji Terraces Scenic Area. The regular bus runs to Longsheng every 20 minutes (you can get off at the gate of Longji Terraces Scenic Area and transfer to the shuttle bus to Longji Ancient Zhuangzhai Terraces Cultural Scenic Area, ... Ping'an Zhuang Terraces Scenic Area , Dayao Village Terraces Scenic Area ). Guilin-Longsheng (ordinary class) ticket price: 22 yuan/person.

Self-driving: National Highway 321 can directly reach the gate of Longji Terraces Scenic Area.

The traditional festivals of ethnic minorities in Longji Terraces include the Longji Terraces Spring Farming Festival, the June 6th Red Clothes Festival (Clothes Drying Festival), and the Longji Golden Autumn Cultural Festival (Night Longji). 2. Longji Terraces is divided into three scenic areas, covering a huge area. If you have enough time, you can consider staying in the scenic area for a few days to enjoy the sightseeing. There are wooden stilt houses in the Yao village in the scenic area, and the price is reasonable.

3. The scenic area currently does not have a guide. If you want to learn more about the local folk culture, you can hire a local villager as a guide at the ticket hall of Longji Scenic Area. They are very familiar with the scenic area and have rich experience as guides. You can also visit on your own. There are guides in each parking lot and road signs at each point. In addition, there are luggage backpack sedan service points at each point in the scenic area. If you need to carry a backpack or take a sedan before climbing, you can negotiate with the villagers first. The price of a backpack ranges from 20-30 yuan (one way) and the sedan 200-400 yuan (round trip).
