Scenic spot introduction:
Guqin Terrace is a famous music and cultural monument in Wuhan, also known as Yu Boya Terrace. It is located at the west foot of Guishan Mountain in Hanyang District, Wuhan City and on the east bank of Yuehu Lake. It is said that Yu Boya, the harp master of Chu State, played the harp here during the Spring and Autumn Period to express his feelings. Zhong Ziqi, a woodcutter on the mountain, could I know its rhythm and its ambition is high mountains and flowing water. Boya regarded Ziqi as his confidant. A few years later, Boya passed by Guishan again and learned that Ziqi had died of illness. He was so sad that he broke the strings of his qin and stopped playing it for the rest of his life. Later generations felt his deep friendship and built a platform here to commemorate it.Attractions distribution:
The Guqintai was first built in the Northern Song Dynasty and was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt in subsequent dynasties. The most recent renovation was presided over by Bi Yuan, the Governor of Huguang in the early Jiaqing years of the Qing Dynasty. After the reconstruction, Wang Zhong was asked to ghostwrite the "Inscription and Preface to the Qintai" (one theory is: "The Preface to the Inscriptions of Shangqintai in Han Dynasty") and "Bo Ya Shi Kao", this article was quite praised by people at the time. In the 10th year of Guangxu (AD 1884), Huang Pengnian wrote "Reconstruction of Hanyang Qintai". In the 16th year of Guangxu (AD 1890), Yang Shoujing presided over and personally wrote elixirs, and re-engraved "Inscriptions on Qintai and Preface", "Bo Ya Shi Kao" and "Reconstruction of Hanyang Qintai" on the stele gallery of Qintai. In the middle, the words "Guqintai" are engraved on the lintel of the gate. The entire Guqintai building complex now covers an area of 15 acres. There are "Wax Museum", "Yinxin Stone House" screen wall, "Bo Ya playing Qin" statue, winding corridor inscriptions, "Qintai" obelisk, "Qintai" "Zhiyin" sculpture stone statues, "Mountains and Flowing Waters" waterside pavilion corridors and other architectural landscapes, combined with courtyards, forest gardens, flower beds, teahouses, are clearly layered. Although the scale is small, the layout is very exquisite and elegant, retaining the style of ancient buildings at that time.
